Now, I'm looking forward to killzone shadow fall, but thinking back the mp never really hooked me in previous games. I played kz 2 and 3, but mostly just for the sp campaign. I got hooked on playing cod 4/mw2 and bfbc2 this gen the most prob. Kz just never hooked me on its online. Does anyone know why? Anyone else feel this way? I'm getting both kz and bf4 on launch day, but most of my mp will prob go to bf4 unless theres some change to whatever feels "off" lol.

Kz2 was my favourite Mp console fps of the gen. In fact, I thought it was much better than the lacklustre campaign :p

The weapons is what killed my enjoyment, something about the gameplay felt so generic. Who know this version maybe enhance the gameplay now that it have a much more powerful hardware.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

The SP games are pretty bland.. Have them all but if you asked me what moment was special or memorable.. I couldn't answer that.. KZ3 MP it justs lacked in maps, weapons and customization.. One mode in KZ3 had like 3 maps or something like that and team deatmatch the matches were over within a few minutes.. And had to wait more time then that match to load another map.. Get boring real quickly

I know they patched KZ3 MP a lot but by that time it was too late..

It's not that KZ is off; it's just a play style that you're not used to. CoD and BF feature a much more stiff straight foward style of gameplay, whereas Killzone features a more weighty and realistic feel. BF and CoD are much more pick up and play, while Killzone takes a lot more getting used to. You just gotta spend time with it is all, but if it's not for you, it's not for you. There's nothing off about the game itself.

Story wise they were, but I did enjoy playing them. Hell the sp story was a step above the other shooters out there xD Usually I just play sp for modern shooter to test out some weps etc(training ground of sorts to get ready for mp). So I don't judge them to harshly in there story. The only thing I remebered about the kz campiagns were the opening speeches. I loved those!

It's bland and generic. It's also balanced terribly.

It's slower and more sluggish than other games, but its intentional. I have never adored any of the games, but I've certainly enjoyed all of them and the main battle rifle (M82?) is one of my favourites guns in all games ever.

I'm playing through Mercenary at the moment and really enjoying it. There's a nice variety of areas and battles and acceptable story....

But I am definitely looking forward to ShadowFall

the multiplayer was very good, what killed it for me was lack of game modes and a fleshed out career progression with lots of guns and unlocs

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

hmm, I found no prob with the movement/weight in the sp campaign, but maybe you're right that it has some getting used to when actually playing with others in mp.
