i'm one of those Nintendo fans who loved the GC more than the NES and N64 :P

So, not a true Nintendo fan.

the hell does that mean?

I miss the GC in the sense that it had better attempts at 3rd Party support then the Wii and Wii U. Maybe a bit better then N64 if one discounts the wrestling and sports games.

But other then that aspect, the GC wasn't exactly Nintendo's finest IMO outside a few areas.

No. I do not miss it. Life goes on. I do not miss objects or things. I can miss people, though.

But I can say in no uncertain terms that the GC will forever live in my memory.

Those drunken nights spent with my friends at university on the GC bashing each other on soulcalibur 2 or competing on super monkey ball. The nights when I couldnt be bothered to go out partying - probably because I was too broke - but stayed in to play Eternal Darkness - whatever it was called.

In terms of sentiment the GC will always be tops, nothing will replace it. Yet I never owned one, it was my room mates.

It's funny that you should mention Gamecube. I'm currently REplaying the REmake.

I played my Gamecube a lot because of GBA games and Phantasy Star Online 1 and 2. I emulate GBA games on PSP or Vita now and whenever I play PSO, it's on PC.  There are a few really good exclusives on the Gamecube, but as large as my collection is, I haven't got back around to them again yet.

I kinda miss the focus Nintendo had with the Gamecube. All these new quality exclusives, all the experimentation Nintendo made back then, the awesome controller, were what made me love the Gamecube. It's, IMO, the second best Nintendo console of all, only before the SNES. And about the Mini DVD part, that certainly wasn't the problem of the Gamecube. Sony hype after the massive PS1 success was, IMO, why every other console "failed" sales wise in the 6th gen other than the PS2.

I do kind of miss playing metroid prime on it. I still have the console though, just not the games. The n64 is somewhat missed, but I have no clue what I did with it lol

All the time. Well, not so much the Gamecube as I still play Gamecube games on my Wii. I miss the feeling that was in the air at the time it was released. During the Nes, Snes, PS1/N64, and PS2/Gamecube/Xbox era, everything felt so consistently new and exciting. It's been a while since gaming has given me that feeling of breaking into new territory. Gamecube was my favorite system during that gen, even though I bought more PS2 games. Gamecube just had more timeless classics.

I've played Twilight Princess, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Mario Sunshine, Double Dash, Eternal Darkness, RE Remake and RE Zero, Beach Spikers, and a few other GC game just this year. I love that console and wish more people had given it a chance.

Well I do miss the days of Paper Mario being high tier. The series has pretty much gone downhill after TTYD.

Mine broke! the disc won't spin anymore. But I have a wii, so I can still play the games. It had great games, unfortunately I wasn't into console gaming at the time, so I only got it two years ago.
