All these GIFs slow my Gen 1 i5 down lol.  Those explosion effects are awesome, really.  BF4 has some badass volume in their explosions too.  Something I was a little disappointed in on early footage of Infamous.  Wonder if it got any better??

Gaf actually thinks that CoD looks terrible.

 

Im taking it you just see "GAF" and just make stuff up. I followed that entire XBone COD 720P thread. Majority stated that 1080P or not even the PS4 version looks terrible for a next gen title.

 I also would like you to show where GAF thinks it looks amazing. Albert Penello said it looked fantastic and GAF clearly disagreed.

You shouldn't go making things up.

Still doesn't bother me I'll get the games I want to play cuz they look fun not because there 1080p 60fps and besides chances are if a person is soooo into graphics they would have a PC for all multiplats

This has always been my complaint about a lot of gamers.  They focus on one metric and thats it.  There is a lot to a game then the resolution and I believe a lot of people are willing to have a more smoother game that still looks great but also does a lot within the game then having the highest resolution.  The resolution is the carrot for people who cannot enjoy a game for its gameplay.

I agree 100%. Iv been gaming on 1080p for the past 4 years and its nothing new. Id rather a game push the bourdarys of the system by adding in more effects etc. I feel sorry for the people willing to buy a console for its power. When both these systems are under par to a decent gaming Rig of today (and the consoles arent even out yet) People talk up the PS3 like it was suppose to blow everything out of the water which it didnt. Im hearing the same stuff again about PS4. Its sad, really sad.

I agree with all of this comment thread.  Let's just focus on great gameplay.  THe only time that I ever notice the graphics on a game is when I am watching someone else play.  If your goal is better looking game videos, then you will probably have to buy a PC.

Oh wow, another thread where people can rationally discuss why their opinion is better than other peoples opinions and why only they know what game looks best (which incidently is of course a game that releases on the console they chose to defend), great job OP!

Special shoutout to the guy that just yesterday told me he agreed with me on looks of a game being subjective and is now in this thread again trying to prove people which game looks best.

Also let's not forget the guy that so bravely told his console war brethren that they "can keep the threads clean themselves" and that they "should just ignore the trolls", who is now not only not ignoring this obvious flamebait thread, no he is actively fueling the flames by joyfully participating in this mindblowingly stupid discussion about whose opinion's best. You're great man.

Wow...

If I was going to grade everybody's performance in this thread I would give NiKKoM an "A", a few others like attaboy a "B", one or two others a "C", and the rest of you would get failing grades.

But yeah I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread since it's flamebait, and there are gross amounts of misinformation and pettiness going on.

Ridge Racer 7 was promised to be 1080p 60fps on PS3 and it is.
