Nope, for a few reasons:
1. My holiday gadget budget is going towards a new iPhone.
2. Recently bought a PS3, plenty of cheap games to catch up on there.
3. No compelling exclusive content yet for PS4 or XBone.
"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event." — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing

well, i will get a ps4 but i want to resell it (yes i know not nice and bla). if the prices won't really increase i will keep it for myself instead of purchasing one next year for me but there is not much on launch or the months after which i really need a next gen console for and since i still have so much to play on pc i don't even "need" one if there would be a few exclusive games i really want. forza is the only must have for me but also no reason to buy an xbox one at launch.
it's the first gen where i don't really plan to buy a next gen console at launch for me since i have still so much other stuff to play.
hinch said: Hmm.. wasn't DR 2:Off the Record essentially the GOTY version of the game? It has a different protagonist as MC but all the DLC's made its way in there. |
Nope. Off the Record was essentially the same game with 75% of the same map as in Dead Rising 2 but with a different main character. It even had the same endings. (The bastards made a crazy plot twist that wasn't present in Dead Rising 2, and it was worth it just for that alone, because it actually teased fans who thought the game was exactly the same as DR2 xD). So this is the point on which Capcom started milking the series.
Off the Record had even different microtransactions than DR2 so that you had to buy them AGAIN.
The DLC's are a especial kind of DLC (which is pretty rare in Capcom) and they are standalone expansions: Case Zero and Case West. Both at five dollars each one, and both had awesome value for fans (It wasn't anything like that content in disc locked bullshit).
Hoping to. If not it's because I haven't had any more money to my name than $8.59 in a long time, and I don't expect to better off financially any time in the future.
I have my sights on a Steam Machine instead or maybe converting my Windows PC to Steam OS. We will see what the future holds... I may change my mind as more games are released. But for now, its Wii U games this holiday.

There is nothing at launch that is really demanding attention. I will wait a year or two to see how both systems pan out. Worked for me last gen.
I'm waiting till Infamous comes out before I get a PS4. I'll have a Wii U so I will have plenty of games to play.
Survivor Millennial vs Gen X!!
I am not getting either.. I got a wiiU plus all the games that I want for the ps4 is not coming out on launch so... I would rather save up the money and buy all dem wiiU/3ds games thats gonna come out next year (and this year)
