I have all the current consoles, and am eye balling the Wii U due to the new Mario and Wind Waker HD.

I'm trying to resist keeping one of my PS4 or Xbox One pre orders vs. reselling. But not sure the exclusives really matter enough to me just yet.

I can wait to play Ryse and don't care about racing games (Forza)

I can wait to play Infamous and never really cared for the play/pace of Killzone.

So I might just wait till next year for PS4 (and some more exclusives).

I did, however, pre-order Dead Rising 3. Guess I can look at the case until I buy the hardware.

And pet the pretty box?

I did the same thing with DVD's.  I found a great deal on one I knew I wanted, and bought it before I got my player.  But it was only a month or less.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

That is a good question.  I've been tearing through my backlog as fast as I can and it is fun but i'm not able to immerse.  I can't answer either.  That almost deserves it's own topic.

There has never been a GOTY edition in any Dead Rising game. In fact, if we ignore Off The Record, I'd say Dead Rising is one of Capcom's least milked franchises. (Two had microtransactions though).

Maybe the "exclusive" content end up in sale after months, which is possible. But I'm also getting a cool T-Shirt (for me), and that's purely exclusive for the Day One edition.

I know I'm going to love the game. It's just...the "exclusive" goodies are too great to let them pass, in case they turn out to be true "day one exclusives".

And as I said before, I get to have a cool Dead Rising T-Shirt. So it's not that bad :P

I have my Wii U, 3DS and PC. I don't need an inferior "pc" next to my gaming one.....

EDIT: Also, no exclusive interested me so far. .

Hmm.. isn't DR 2:Off the Record essentially the GOTY version of the game? It has a different protagonist as MC, but all the DLC's from the vanilla version are on there.

But fair enough, I guess. Pre order/collectors goodies are always nice incentives to have for early adopters.
