Quantic dream?

Actually yes....

Are you serious?

For real?

Wow.

Nintendo's made some very risky investments. Nintendo invested in video games. The riskiest move of all. They won that one.

Quantic Dream, I love those crazies.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

How exactly is Nintendo Risky lol they have been releasing mostly the same franchises for ages now....No risk involved lol

Taking risks doesnt just mean making new IP. Nintendo has taken risks with many of there games and consoles.

Star Fox Adventures and Metroid Prime conpletely changed genres. Zelda constantly changes its artstyle. 3D Mario is always changing, 64/Sunshine/Galaxy all have very distint differences. Nintendo DS and Wii were huge risks, if people didnt respond well to touch/motion controls then Nintendo could have been in alot of trouble last gen.

I dont think Nintendo is the riskiest but they do make there fair share of risks.

Easy, Nintendo. Releasing always "REHASHES FRANCHISES" for the last 30 years is the most risky decision of all.

I'm sorry, but no.

Nintendo has been banking on well established franchises for decades. It's not risky when you think about it. Mario, Zelda, Metroid, DK are all well known brands and just about every person who plays video games knows about them. Heck, even those who do not play them or casually do so will have heard of them from one way or another. The games they develop internally are low risk because they are bound to sell well. The fan/install base are always there to pick up those titles and the attach rate for most of their first party games is quite franky, huge. Compare that to other devs who try their luck with new IP's and its sometimes its a hit, others a miss.

Not sure about any others but I'd say Atlas. They produce niche titles that are a little 'out there'.

By that logic I guess Sony and MS are in the same boat, heck even Sega and Atari.

That brand didnt just exist you know, they grew it. They sell well because they're quality titles and that grew the brand that allowed them to take several risks.

You have no idea how many games Nintendo's put out before. People only remeber their franchises.

Sony. Whenever they get a good thing going they kill it off to bring new IP.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

My opinion I would say Nintendo. While many devs come out with sequels that will look exactly like the last game, their games aren't like that. Take Zelda for example. Just look at WIndwaker, The original Zelda, Adventure of Link, and a few others. They really changed the formula up for some of those games. That's a big risk I cant think of another developer doing to a successful franchise. Each of their consoles offers something new that you didn't have in the previous console, unlike others who seem to by happy just offering more powerful hardware but the same experiences.

hahahahaha!! ohh man that was a good one! ...................................... ohh wait you are serious? oh boy.
