Forums - Gaming Discussion - Splinter Cell Blacklist Performance Comparison – PS3/Xbox360/Wii U

Isn't the WiiU version missing multiplayer? It can hardly be the definitive version if its missing half the game.

I believe it's only missing local multi-player, it has online. Also Splinter Cell is mostly a single-player game, so I would hardly say that it is missing half the game.

Quite interesting that they say the PS3 version has better textures. In all of the screenshots they posted, it's quite noticeable the Wii U version has better textures.

That's a funny conclusion to come up with for a site called "The Lens of Truth".

I've had the same impression.

The WiiU version has no screen tearing, but considerably longer load times and inferior textures (compared to PS3). Not much of a difference overall then.

"Because of the lack of visual and documented information on this feature we decided to compare the Xbox 360 “out of the box” approach. As for the Wii U and PlayStation 3 versions, having the game come on only one disk felt reassuring and stress free. Graphically, the Wii U and PlayStation 3 versions are very close to one another in terms of texture resolution. In some screen shots, the PlayStation looked slightly better and in others the Wii U version looked better. "

Was the wii u port outsourced ?

I find it funny they've skipped installing Texture pack for 360 version.

Hope Ninjablade sees this, Wii U version outshines the others without breaking a sweat. Last gen tech my ass, even more impressive is its only a port from a different team, imagine what the devs could have done building it on the Wii U from scratch.

I would think the load times would be longer compared to the PS3 since the PS3 requires the game to be installed on the console.

Good! now that Nintendo got an awesome port which is superior to other consoles I wanna see it SELL!! no excuses this time.

Everyone who owns a WiiU needs to prove that if you are good to the Nintendo fanbase they will be good to you.

Nowhere in that article states the Wii U has inferior textures, It says PS3 looks better in some places and Wii U in others, and on a whole both look pretty close to each other. I would take extra load times over screen tearing and frame rate dips, this alone makes the Wii U version the best. Again not a bad feat since this was outsourced to another Ubisoft team, who had less time to work on the Wii U version.
