Forums - General Discussion - US Fast Food Strike - i hope you guys survive it..

You know, In N Out burger starts their employees at 13/hour in California - nearly 5 bucks above minimum wage. They also have better service than either of the other companies. They might be on to something.

Thanks! Will try to survive.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Djevolve. They do the same amount of work a mcdonalds employee does?

@ soleron

Why is its businesses job to deal with americans being poor? If the government cannot handle it why should they?

With out a government you have no economy. so they should make sure people are not getting fucked over. You want to make $1 a hour because gov is not there to make sure your not getting fucked. No I didn't think so.

why is that any of our problem?

they made the poor choices in life. they stand there and flip a burger patty and repeat. why do they need more than minimum wage? they did not work hard in schoolb or did drugsb or got kidsb or etc. get a second job then. you pay for your choices in life.

Ermm... what?

A poor girl, orphan at birth, is trying as hard as she can to go through college, she had no money but she was a very good student and made great choices. No one wants to employ her right now but she needs the money to afford tuitition. She takes a job at McDonals to college degree and be a productive person and useful to society.

But I suppose that you would tell her it's her fault for being born poor.

I agree $15 is beyond excessive, but it shouldn't bother you if they want a raise. Retail jobs are hard too.

How about the government just increase minimum wage to $10.00 per hour instead of the $7.25-$8.50 currently.

Easier said than done. Good luck to whoever is trying to convince them. Then again its just gonna get countered by raising the gas prices and the price of products/services/etc.

Good ol'merica land of the poor and impoverished.

Well we must be since there is a minimum wage to begin with.

If only we truly placed our faith in the Invisible Hand. Our nation of apostates and false prophets have suffered by defying its guiding force.

Hmmm I'm not quite sure how to respond to that .

LOL Some prep cooks don't even make $15 an hour. They don't even know why they make $9 an hour do they? Cooking precooked food involves little skill so they don't hire chefs, they hire people whom are able to understand marginal duties and pay as such. Technically McDonalds paid much better in its earlier days but found out they could make more profit by making the food cheaper and precooked.
