An anonymous Microsoft developer said they prefer the Playstation 4 over the Xbox One because it has better specs and features, according to Sidhtech, flaring competition between both companies in the next-generation console war.

"An individual who doesn't want to be named and who says that they are a developer on the Xbox One, has been on Reddit and spoke out about the family sharing features and specs of the Xbox One in comparison to those of the Sony PS4. What does happen to be interesting about the rumor is that that Reddit have had confirmation that the person is someone who has worked on the console extensively," Sidhtech writes. 

"There is a confirmed XB1 tag by the name of the person when he has made comments. While there are many topics that have been covered, some of the most important ones are that the person says that on paper the PS4 specs are better than the Xbox One. The comments do happen to be interesting as they actually come from someone who has worked on the Xbox 360."

The Xbox One's developing company might also face some struggles in Europe as earlier this week, over 300 European games industry members were asked for their views by the Game Developers Conference on the next generation of consoles and 13 percent of respondents said they were working on PlayStation 4 games, compared with percent working for Xbox One and 5 percent for Wii U, according to IGN.

The poll also measured the future intentions of the European developers as well; 23 percent of those asked were planning to create a PS4 title next, while 14 percent were eyeing up the Xbox One and 7 percent the Wii U, IGN also reports.

But Europe isn't the only region of the world where Microsoft might encounter some difficulties.

Sony and Nintendo experienced an increase in stock after a Chinese government source was quoted saying the 13-year-old ban on video game sales might be lifted, leaving gamers wondering why Microsoft's stock was untouched after the announcement of China's possible move.

@OT:  why isnt there the reddit source? please dont tell me this is the dev who gave out those xbox one info a week or so ago, and that this is is comment when he said that the PS4 specs on paper are better but the xbox one games look amazing and thats what matters. because if so then this thread is pretty much bullshit

You heard it here, folks. 0% of European developers are working on Xbone titles.

If true, an employee of one company prefers another company's product. How does this affect anyone besides him? Don't know that it does.

I can think of two, successful, independent European developers.  Crytek and CD Projekt RED.

Both have titles for the Xbox One, don't they?
