Forums - PC Discussion - The Elder Scrolls Online thoughts

So the new Elser Scrolls game is coming out Spring of next year, and well its an MMO. its gonna be on consoles, and i really liked Skyrim so i'll be getting this game. im just worried that the ruumor thats surounding the internet about it having a monthly bill to play it.

i persoanlly would hate that, and i dont think they will do this because they will fail on sales for consoles, for the fact we already pay for XBL/ PS Plus.

Elder Scrolls Online looks amazing. But the best part that i saw out of the gameplay that has been put out is the battling system. 100s of players can fight in battles with cattapolts, magic, swords. its gonna be amazing.

Anyway, tell me your thoughst on this game, and will you be getting it. If so what for PC, Mac, PS4, XB1???

I WANT it! I would like to get it on PS4 since that's my platform of choice. I love The Elder Scrolls series and I thoroughly enjoyed Skyrim - despite the bugs.

I'm not going to leap before looking though. I would like more details on the game before I jump in. It depends heavily on the entry fee. It also depends on the availability of titles on the PS4. I'd feel more comfortable paying a fee if there were fewer games on the PS4 since I'd maximize the value with more play time in TES:O. A larger number of games to play + limited play time + monthly fee is a bad combo for me.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

I don't know about Microsoft policies, but Sony has already stated that MMOs that require subscription won't need PS+.

Still PS+ will be needed for other games, so the fee may be a problem for some.Without the monthly fee I think the game will do great on consoles but with it...I don't know.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Will be getting it on ps4, i can't wait to play this. Will be playing it with my friends, elder scroll games are one of the few games which they play. Games looks good, though i am not impressed graphically and i still have questions about the combat.

Non MMO games will indeed need PS+ for online.   It would be  weird if PS+/XBL + Game monthly fee were required to play the game.

Really, i didnt know they said that.

Are you sure they said ALL MMO titles that have a fee will not be required cause of PS+. or only certain MMO titles??

I am really interested, but only depending on what they do for a pay structure. If they want to charge me $60+ to buy the game and no monthly fee and no limitations I would do it. But if they charge me for the game and then for a monthly fee I would probably skip it and hope it did what DC universe did.

Is there a Benchmark for TESO? I know FFXIV: ARR has one, and I wanted to see how TESO would run on my computer. I won't be getting TESO, as I've made a commitment to FFXIV: ARR since 2009. Is TESO beta still any good? I heard there was a backlash for how poorly the game runs.

The monthly fee doesn't bother me at all. In fact I will have at least two accounts, one to use as a mule and buffbot.

But it's the classic MMORPG frustrations I am afraid of. I have no friends who are even remotely interested in playing an MMO, so I will have to connect with unknown people online, and that obviously means I will end up in a shitty guild. Poor co-operation, superficial friends and lack of effective adventure and PvP groups.

Due to demands in social life, job and family, I will miss out on raids and important events. This will make my character lag behind and people in my community will leave me out of the fun stuff and avoid me. I'm afraid I will be marginalized into a casual fringe player.

Also, there's the risk of becoming addicted.
