Well, it may be so, but: 1. that is not the logic they use on those front page charts and 2. It does not seem feasible the PSP sold those many units out of the main markets. I might be wrong, though, so I'll try and check it.

all the consoles on the front page have it, if u add up NA+Eu+Japan it never equels the WW numbers. And Somy consoles do extremely well in others once the price is down significantly and the next gen has already begun

Yeah, now that you have mentioned it, it does make sense (not quite used to the site just yet). I had not thought of it. It still seems a lot, but then again, you have a good point. I wish those numbers could be seen more easily.

Erm...you are aware that the 360's 1 year head start gave it a 5.5m installed userbase advantage which kept it ahead of the PS3 until recently, right..? And that the Wii U has an installed userbase between 3.5m and 4m just 8 months into its life with several system selling titles on the way between now and the end of the year..?

It's going to take the PS4 and especially the One years to close that gap, particularly when you consider that Nintendo have the strongest stable of system selling IP in the business.

The likes of Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, Wii U Party, Wind Waker HD, Donkey Kong, Wii Fit U and Super Mario 3D World will all sell systems and they're releasing at least 1 per month before Christmas.

And then there's next year to take into account - SMT x Fire Emblem, Yarn Yoshi, Bayonetta 2, X, Mario Kart 8 and SSBU plus whatever they have up their sleeves for E3 next year.

It's going to take years for the PS4 and One to catch up.

Am sure WW sales will give the Wii u a fairly decent boost.

Nintendo will NOT dominate this gen in any way, atleast on the home console front. It's way past the point where that could be possible. But the system will sell decent enough, and the games WILL come out, and they'll be great.

What's interesting is the amount of short sidededness on the internet these days. I've been a core gamer since the days of the 2600, so Nintendo not dominating isn't a shock to me. I witnessed a time (1996-2006) where Nintendo's rep as a player in the industry was almost nill. Out of 6 home consoles, they only dominated twice, and won three times. This is nothing new. Nintendo will be fine, they'll survive. That's all that matters IMO.
