Forums - General Discussion - Mexico Takes Over America’s Spot as the World’s Most Obese Developed Country

Hmmm Australia and the United Kingdom have pretty high obesity rates, so I don't get why people from those countries try to say the United States has a lot of fat people when they do to.

I have faith that the mighty US of A can take back first place.. America f*ck yeah!

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I blame those tortillas and candy breads.

In my opinion most of this obesity is caused by diets high in wheat.

It is funny how the Obesity term is used, mainly because I have probably only met 3 Obese people in my life in USA. Must be massive differences in Obesity between the states.

@Farsala

I think you underestimate the weight barrier thats classified as obese.

Obese doesnt mean scooter landwhale, you are obese with a BMI over 30 for example a guy 5´11 in heigth is obese with 210 pounds. 5`9`-5`10 is the average american height. At that height you are classified obese with >200 pounds.

Cant edit right now I mean overestimate

Even if all that weight is all muscle, it is just ridiculous. I was considered Overweight once when I was anorexic, make sense?

Maybe we can stop all the fat America jokes now.

@Farsala

yes Bodybuilders can be obese with a very low body fat but most people are not bodybuilders and 200 pound pure muscle is really the exception. Also anorexic means you have an eating disorder technically you can be fat and anorexic. But if you are anorexic or bulimic and dont lose massively weight to the point of underweight you arent really endagering your life so it just means you have a few screws lose.
