Red Steel 2. Wii Motion+ did wonders for the precision of motion controls.

Metroid Blast (NintendoLand) has perfect pointer controls (tought it's TPS). Also MP3 (or Trilogy) was perfect.

man, i feel like there's alot of bias here. I think metroid prime 3 was easily the WORST shooter with pointer controls. I hated having to point all the way to the end of the screen to start turning samus. However, after conduit refined the way shooters should be customized, i think all the fps's had about the same controls. COD, conduit 2, red steel 2, were all about the same. And were awesome. Still my preferred way to play an fps, but i don't think we'll see it anymore :(

...were you playing Prime 3 on Standard sensitivity, perhaps?

Set the sensitivity level to Advanced mode. It controls incredibly, and you turn a whole lot faster. Combined that with Prime 3's much higher quality frame rate, and you've got a control scheme that can't be beat.

That big of an improvement eh. I was trying the first one 2 days ago and getting past the tutorial felt a chore.

Played WaW, BO, and Goldeneye. WaW and BO handeled basically the same (which is pretty obvious why they would). The wiimote+nunchuck controls for WaW and BO were pretty much spot on. I had no issues with them after I got the controls down. However, I could never get Goldeneye to work properly (feel like WaW/BO). I believe they even had a CoD setting for Goldeneye but it didn't behave like WaW or BO did. It was either too sensitive, too slow, or hell I don't know I could never get the controls to act like how they did in WaW/BO.

Not sure, I need to play more games.

Resident Evil 4 was smooth though.

Prime 3 Sold me on Wiimote FPS controls. RE4 sold me on 3rd Persion controls. There was no way I could ever play those games on the Gamecube any more. Goldeneye as well as The Conduit also did a good job with the WiiMote controls.

Which is actually why I'm baffled by the Wii U and its Gamepad, and abandonment of IR controls. Its grat they've allowed options though. And from What I've seen of BO2 on Wii U the Wiimote looks buttery smooth. Zombie U would probably be a better game if they too allowed IR controls.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

Did you know that you could use IR controls in the multiplayer mode? Or did you mean like allowing them in Story Mode? They worked pretty well in multiplayer though. Getting headshots was super easy.

I wasn't aware of that at all.

But yes, sorry for not clarifying; I meant in the main game. Wonder if they could patch it.

The first one is a total mess. Launch title vs sequel 5yrs later. Plenty of time to improve the controls^^
