...were you playing Prime 3 on Standard sensitivity, perhaps?
Set the sensitivity level to Advanced mode. It controls incredibly, and you turn a whole lot faster. Combined that with Prime 3's much higher quality frame rate, and you've got a control scheme that can't be beat.
