Forums - Sales Discussion - Calling it now. The PS4 will outsell the Xbone 4:1!!

Xbox One will win the USA quite handily once price drops. That will be enough to offset PS4 for most of the world. If PS4 sells more it will be by about 10% more.

I have to highly disagree on this, there is no aparent reason to get an XBOX over a PS4 at the moment, and the price doesn't help

Xbox MAY sell a little more in the USA, Mexico and Canada than the PS4, let's say 15 million for the one and 12 for the PS4, outside the USA PS4 is clearly going to outsell by a huge number, specially on Europe and Asia, so it's going to be more than 10%, probably more than a 100% actually. lol

I'm pretty sure the PS3 was supposed to dominate the Xbox 360 too. -_-

We won't see the PS4 do PS2 numbers but It'll surely out sell the PS3 and PS One.

Xbone will do fine with it's "Innovation" and "Cloud Processing".

The PS3 was released at a ridiculous price, and the games it had were lacking.
I have to say that the 360 was a better option at its time, but the PS3 surpassed it on the following years.

@lxhizy
There is no reason for YOU and other Sony fans to get a Xbox One over a PS4 but for me and other people there are plenty of reasons. Xbox One has the proven online infrastructure while Sony still has to prove they can even provide a quality chat service. Xbox One has exclusives that I prefer and a lot of my other friends prefer. Also casuals like Kinect and that will be appealing once the price drops to a mass market price. Sony is only targeting the gamers now. There is no reason for casuals to pick up a PS4.

Because by the year 2023 people won't want dedicated gaming boxes taking up space. Everything will be cloud based.

I don't agree. Atleast I believe Nintendo will release a console after the Wii U.

I hope that both consoles PS4 and Xbone have success but also don't sell too well. Sony and MS should not have to many success both only get cocky the past clearly showed this, they both should struggle an should fight for every customer, I want many exclusive games and good console bundles deals.
The past showed it is the best for customers when consolemakers realy have too bother for every customer.

I'm predicting 35 million Xbones sold and 140 million PS4s. :)

Not in a million years. No console will ever pass the 120 million mark, unless there's just two instead of three in the market. The legacy of the Nintendo DS and PS2 will never ever be beaten.

expect by the playstation vita

Ha! You're fabulous.

@Tuscaniman99

The only thing XBOX has that Playstation doesn't (at the moment) is an outstanding online service, but you have to pay for it, and in the case of the one vs ps4, the xbox live service is more expensive than the plus, and it is not better than the plus neither.

About the exclusives, Sony has a lot of them while MS still need to "prove" that they can dominate the first-party market, you may prefer Gears of War or Halo than Infamous, Killzone or God of War, but unlike you, there are people on the other side.

About this "casuals" you say, both consoles will drop prices, do you actually think that the xbox prices will drop to 100 dollars while the ps4 will stay the same? both consoles have a huge "casual" market, and while xbox has the Kinect, playstation has the PS Move.

AND I don't blame you for getting an Xbox over a PlayStation, if you like the console it's your money and you decide what to do with it, I just give you my point of view, and I ask you to be realistic more than optimistic.
