Thats a pretty low amount of money to be making for being a CEO in todays capitalist climate.

He also earned love and trust of gamers of all ethnicies and races until the end of time!

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

Seems low to a CEO... Kaz deserves more.

This. He's exceeding my expectations.

What has he done though that is so great in his time as CEO? Sony continues to make big loses with the exception of the last quarter which was only profitable because they sold away assets.

If you compare what Kaz is doing now, to his predecessor Sir Howard Sterling. You can see Kaz is working a lot faster to get the company out of the red. I mean I know Sterling was able to do his part but after 2008, it was just down hill again and it felt like Sony could not face the reality that their TV division is bleeding badly and their Smartphone division strategy was not succeeding.

Now the Smartphone division is looking to make a profit and the TV division has cut its losses significantly than prior years. I believe a lot of their TV manufacturing has been moved outside of Japan to reduce production cost, which they would not even do in Sterling's time. Selling and letting go of assets to downsize hurts but its better than the alternative.

Kaz has a long way to go before he can get Sony in the black but it seems doable under his leadership in just full first year as CEO (and a few months)

That salary is just symbolic. With stock options I bet his annual income is at least 10 times higher than that.

I am outraged.

4 ≈ One

Good for him, I love Kaz Hirai =D

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

1.6 Million? *Scough* I earn that hourly!
