I'm sorry but for the majority of us who don't buy crappy, scratched pre-owned discs from Gamestop, this new MS policy isn't a win at all. Being able to share games with 10 friends/family members was a huge win for gamers, but IMO the people who cried about it basically screwed the rest of us over.

The only thing I wanted dropped was the 24 hour check in, but really even that wasn't so bad if it was changed to like a weekly check in.

Through my friends I could've had effective access to like 2-3x as many games, now that ain't happening.

What remote part of the country do you live in? lol. Even if you don't physically know someone with an XBox, it's easy to meet people on forums like this and share your game library if you wanted to and coordinate game purchases around that.

Congrats though now we can play a dirty, scratched disc from the neck beards at GameStop for $15 less. Whoopity doo. Which you still would've been able to do on the old set up too, the publisher would've just taken a small fee from it.

It is not confirmed that they arent sharing games still so wait for confirmation on that.

I have mixed feelings about this. I don't think it was quite ever clear how the digital sharing would work, but did seem like a very good idea.

I am not buying an Xbox for gaming reasons, but I do think that it is a loss in some way

My Sleeping Dogs disc from Game, at 9 euros, is perfectly fine. I guess the previous owner played five minutes and got bored with it.

IMO Gamestop is really the only big winner here. In terms of functionality what MS was proposing was actually a huge win for the average gamer and for those of us who aren't living in 1996 and have an internet connection. Yes, I'm sorry for that very small minority that doesn't have access to the internet, but it's like we are all getting screwed because a small little minority decided to make a huge stink.

It sucks. I probably could've been able to play like 4-5x as many games under the set up MS proposed.

If MS actually promoted this policy instead of burying it into an FAQ with a "subject to change" notice, I wouldn't have been skeptical about it in the first place.

So MS being utterly obliterated in every market including their stronghold of NA was a good option.

Man that really sucks. REALLY sucks.

I just don't see why they can't give you the option. Either you can have your console like how the 360 currently is or you can have your console with the 24 hour check with family sharing plan or anything in between.

I hope games still are getting installed to the harddrive. If they take that away and make you still change discs I'll be livid.
