So now, people will understand why many were vocal in their discontentment about the console's DRM.

If everyone had swallowed the pill and just go "hey, you're my favourite so I'll happily eat any shit you throw at me" like many did, nothing would have happened.

So, I guess the people who said "Sony has no choice!!! They'll have DRM too. They're just being stealthy!" are finally eating crows.

Since it worked the other way around.

The XBO went from a distant "maybe" to a "purchase during launch window" for me. So, color me relieved.
