GAME has announced it will open an Xbox specific store in London in order to showcase Xbox related products.

The store will open on June 20 and according to GAME will feature: “gaming pods, head-to-head challenge areas, a Microsoft Surface display and the latest and greatest in Xbox hardware and software.”

The “one-of-a-kind” store will be located in Boxpark, Shoreditch.

Best Buy is doing something similar in the US only inside it’s established stores with the focus on Xbox One and related products.

Seems like a good move. In 2008.

Now, I'm not saying this is a bad move but surely it would be better for MS to open a store themselves advertising their products and have all these features as well as in the back having a few laptops to sell too. If they want to compete with Apple, make Apple like stores themselves.

Smart, they probably won't be telling people there to get a PS4 instead.

So, they will only sell Xbox related products or am I misunderstanding?

Wasn't GAME so bad financially that they had to close dozens of stores and fire lots of people?

And now they are doing this? I wonder how much will it last.

They got bailed by an Australian firm (I think) they now  trade in electronic goods as well as games.
