To say that Xbox One has unappealing games is ignorance. However their policies make me sick.

I will truly miss Halo and Forza.

I've been boycotting Xbox 1, 2, 3, 4, ..., 360. Yup. All of 360 Microsoft consoles.

If the games cost at least 20 dollars/euros less than before, then I'm fine with online DRM. As a matter of fact, I don't like getting off the couch to swap discs.

With that said, I am not paying for that stupid camera. Now that I think of it, I would refuse to have it in my living room, even if they paid me to do so. I won't be buying an XBOX again, until they release one without Kinect.

I'm boycotting and even signed a websites petition about it. I just don't like DRM at all, in any of it's forms. It's just annoying

Thats actually pretty interessting what you said there.. what if the games are 10 to 15 bucks cheaper on the Xbone then the PS4 because of the DRM? We have seen PC games go cheaper then their console counterparts.. we should make a thread about it..

Funny, most posted here are boycotting Xbox One regardless of M$ policy because they are PS loyalist.

I was interested after the XBone reveal.

I actually thought they did a good job at that. However, they did a better job at ruining that. 8th gen will probably be Nintendo/Sony once again. Even if I'm not very excited about the PS4 as of now either, 8th looks to be a lot more barren then the 7th was. I liked the first XBox, but I'm not going to enslave myself to Microsoft's policies and hope this thing will actually still work ten years from now. I'd like to be in control of my stuff myself thank you very much.

Well it makes sense. You are not paying to own the game. You are just buying a license to play it. It should cost less. To be perfectly honest though, I don't see this happening. Platform holders and publishers are all to greedy to see this clearly.

Not enough people will make a 'big deal' out of this and MS will sell the Xboxone just fine. Which will mean in the future it's all up to Microsoft what will happen with and to your product. Getting a ban for swearing in an online game, we'll disconnect your box for a month...

They are looking for total consumer control and by the looks of it people will simply allow that. So far there are not near enough benefits to warrant these changes. But hey, everyone is free to choose as they will.

OT:

As long as these new consumer friendly ideas remain at the box, i won't buy one. I did like it's features though.
