Well since this site is all about sales then its prime was the first game on the 360.

Except Dead Rising 2 outsold Dead Rising?

Only because it was multi plat the first game on the 360 is still the best selling in the series.

OH WAIT. Are you implying Dead Rising is a bad franchise?!

For my personal preferences....yes.

Well, that's why personal preferences are that, personal =)

But it looks like my personal preference is shared by some people and that is why no one is revolting on DR3 exclusivity ;)

If you enjoyed it good for you

Well.. I was totally expecting first: Capcom: "Deep Down couldn't have been achieved without Sony" unless Deep Down is also for X1

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

But Dead Rising 2 sold more on the 360 version, didn't it?

Not by much. The difference between the 360 and PS3 versions was less than 10% according to VGC. (We don't have PC numbers, of course.)

VGC have a 10% margin of error... so the sales can even be tied lol

True, and Off the record sold better on Ps3 than on 360. However, the difference was positive to 360 (9k units more in DR2 than 4k units less in off the Record). That being said, there's also Case Zero and West, which broke sales records back then in 360 and were done "for the original fanbase" in 360.

Seems like you are confusing the best selling SKU with the best selling game.

I wonder how much money Microsoft shelled out to keep this exclusive.

I'm sure they paid for most of its development its published by them also so they pretty much pulled a Bayonetta 2.

Dead Rising has always been somewhat niche. I don't expect people loving the game and going to the stores demanding sequel over sequel. And I can understand a lot of things that can turn off people, such as the timer or the goofy-style.

However I do enjoy the series, and I can understand (to some extent) why the Xbox One exclusivity. I'm just sad that they're changing what made the original games so unique by pleasing the crowd.

Good for MS and Xbone. I found the DR games to be pretty fun but nothing amazing. Tho of all the Xbone games I've seen, this is probably my fav.

$ure they were.

And Arkham Origins is getting PS3 exclusive skins because so many Playstation fans grew up watching the 1960's TV series.
