On the front page there is an article about a rumor that Gamestop is going to stop selling the Basic Wii U bundle. Im under the impression that it sells far less than the Deluxe bundle since many stores have it on sale constantly. Could Nintendo be planning on discontinuing the Basic bundle altogether and reduce the price of the Deluxe to $299?

I hope to God that it is, and that Nintendo drops the price of the Deluxe bundle to $299. It's what they should've done from the beginning, imo. They should also release a white Deluxe, because, well, why the hell not?

I agree, they would have taken a bigger loss per unit but sales would be higher and more software would be sold so it evens out. Hell, maybe they would have met there revised forcast of 4 million.

They might not do one, 3DS was on the market for 5 months and had an $80 cut, Wii U is almost 7 months and would only be $50 cut

I hope not, I'm planning to buy one once the price drops to 149 €. It's already at 179,99 € so it shouldn't take too long to get there.

It baffles me that people are waiting for 30 euros to drop for months to years to pick a system they want?? I would have just drop that 30 euros and buy it so i can enjoy it, probably comes out to be less than half euro per day over average of 2 months, but that's just me...

Nintendo should  extend the 30 cent promo, to "player's choice", 3 titles per all supported systems on VC.
