Forums - Gaming Discussion - Microsoft disables YouTube comments on Xbox channel following negative comments

Honestly cannot blame them, all the fanboys that never had a interest in buying Xbox one are just bashing the system again and again. So when someone genuinely interested in checking out the new console reads the comment may get turned off because they are getting biased misinformed information that isn't even complete.

Take vgchartz for example. Every new Xbox One thread being made the same few people comment on it and bash it. Now when you take that to a much bigger scale and you can see why M$ disabled the comments cause its just giving misinformation that can potentially turn off interested consumers from the system.

There you go Microsoft, censorship will only make people love you more.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

To all the people saying things along the lines of "Only people uninterested in buying one were bad mouthing it", stop it. PLENTY of Microsoft fans are upset about the X1.

No, it's not only Sony fans who think the console looks ridiculous. Xbox fans, devs, gaming journalists, ect are all disappointed in the system. If you want to play the "wait till E3" card that's fine and valid, but stop pretending that this is all some big conspiracy orchestrated by Sony fanboys with Kaz himself at the helm.

Freedom of speech my ass. It's getting worst for Microsoft....

Someone needs a lesson on the freedom of speech front.

Well teach me....

YouTube comments are always filled with the worst people saying horrible things. All companies shoulda disable comments right from the start

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

If I got mostly negative comments in a video of mine I'd have done the same. Don't know why this is considered shocking or wrong.

They're screwing it up so bad it's not even funny anymore. Or maybe it is.

Its not surprising and I dont have a problem with them doing it. The reaction of youtube users will be interesting once MS reveal all their games as E3.

would do it as well. 90% of comments are only from people who try to talk shit about it and who were never interested in it.

youtube is so horrible if it comes to console war...and then you get always the pc guys who have to comment every console game and how bad it looks. like a big kindergarten.

those people should learn to communicate "civilized" if they want to get listened

This. Youtube is on par with N4G for that type of stuff.

Yea, that excuse is getting old.  As if the only ones talking negatively about it are hardcore Sony fans.  That would completely ignore the fact that many internet personalities that are known to be 360 fans are bashing it and saying they will probably switch to PC and/or PS4.  We also have several members on this very board saying the same exact thing.  So, yea, imagining that only fanboys of opposing sides are bashing the system completely skews the truth of the situation.
