I'm not entirely convinced of that.  The only reason for that happening is that there are still games coming out for the PS3 and 360, but I'm pretty sure it wont take 1.5-3 years for people to move on.

I was just saying the same bloody thing a few days ago with a buddy of mine discussing about the XBone. Cripes, I even mentioned it in a thread just yesterday... lol

I really do not see what is so different about each console that people claim they are each going after a different market. Wii U plays games and has apps like TVii that add to the functionality of the console.PS4 plays games and has multimedia options similar to Wii U but nothing has been announced that I know of that is completely the opposite of what Wii U is doing. Xbox will again play games and have multimedia capabilities. The NFL thing? Yeah saw that on Wii U already where you watch the game and get stats on the pad.

I honestly think that the reason most of you think they are after completely different markets is because you dont really know anything about the console that doesnt come from your chosen company be that PS,Nintendo or MS.
I am a PC,Wii U,Phone and 3DS gamer. According to some of you that is impossible to do cause people who games on phones DO NOT game on consoles and people that game on consoles do not game on portables. Always stating "different markets" with nothing but wishful thinking to back it up. I even enjoy hearing from some people that I cannot be a gamer at all because I dont own a MS or Sony product.

Gaming is the only hobby I know of where your preference means you can be a part of it. Lance Armstrong doesnt go around saying" I am the only cyclist cause I'm the only one that had cancer" or a football player saying " My teams the only Football team because we are the only ones that use our play style." Yet gamers try to do that all the time.Oh you dont owna PS3, well you arent a gamer but a casual. Oh you dont pay to play online? you must not be a gamer

Truth is all 3 are game consoles. All 3 will be sold right beside each other in every Toys R us accross the country. TO claim that they are some how different and not competing just seems like childish nonsense by a bunch of 12 year olds. Not trying to be insulting just being honest.

Cmon guys, its a PS4/X1 competitor. Let's not be mean.

Sad though if sales stay the same, that X1 and PS4 will pass it in 2014 no problem

I see how the Xbox ONE could be seen as not a competitor because it's more like a pc.... Wait, they said that last gen too... LOL!!
