So yet again, Xbox One is not a Wii U competitor- So who is the Wii U in competition with?

I can see it happening for the next 1.5 years min and to 3 years max (which is a good chunk).

I'm not entirely convinced of that.  The only reason for that happening is that there are still games coming out for the PS3 and 360, but I'm pretty sure it wont take 1.5-3 years for people to move on.
