Or you could stop breaking the rules Would be easier for everyone!

Unfortunately everyone makes mistakes and as even mods make them as well. I try to be on my best behavior while still voicing my opinions.

Well I did contact the head mod, I did explain myself. I have not gone on a rant and I'm not calling bias.

The head mod agrees that he wouldn't have banned me for that post, but he still didn't reverse the decision. I don't get it and I think the mod who made the ban should admit to his mistake or at least try to explain more in detail why I got banned for my commnet. He did neither of these. He refused to reply to my message at all.

Normally, I would just let this go. I'm afraid that my next ban will be extra long though. All because of this unnecessary one.

Just seen this.

The head mod will have asked the mod in questions opinion on it.

After a discussion, they will have come to an agreement. While the head mod wouldnt have banned you for the post in question, he will have seen why the other mod actually banned you. He could understand why. They are a team, they work together. They value eachothers opinion. The head mod can look into it, and they can talk about if there has been a mistake or if the moderation has been too harsh. While axum/kantor may have disagreed with the moderation, they wont just take it away without consulting the mod in question.

I think the mod in question not replying to your message is bad, but then again, he may not even check his mails on VGC.

uh, Sega fixed my sig for me a month or 2 back I think, so I'm prolly okay on that but I feel lazy about checking my avatar so can a mod tell me if my avatar is okay? lol

The mod in question likely knows the difference between messages that just want to vent and messages addressing a legitimate concern.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

That would be the more likely scenario, yes.

Which mod got him by the way? Was it you?

I've personally experienced a ridiculous ban so take it from me, it happens.

What you have to do there, is contact the head mod. If you think you have been unfairly moderated, message the head mod explaining yourself.

Except you cannot do that if you're banned...

mods@vgchartz.com, if I remember correctly.

Theres an email in the rules you can contact.

mods@vgchartz.com?

No wonder Machina always answers my emails with " Stop messaging me Spurgeon!"

I use contact@vgchartz.com

I would think that the quote tree rule is just one of those things that you would only want to ban someone on if it gets really long and they do not stop. sometimes you just forget or maybe some just do not know. I know it is in the rules, but does everyone know what a quote tree is? Plus it is a hard habit to break. You could be strict and just ban them right away after the first warning, but that would be kind of harsh.

I would rather just do ^ than quote anyone anyways.

Hey, Im working off ~2 Year old information here

My thread got locked and a duplicate lives on, 2nd time this happens. This is very strange and unfortunate, the rules clearly mention that duplicate gets locked.

Its not just if its a duplicate, Id assume it depends on the content of said thread.

Was your thread just a link, with no actual content?

It was a picture from the pre E3 Konami event of Kiefer Sutherland being confirmed as Snake. My thread got locked due to popularity and this what the mods tell me, however the rules state not popularity but duplicates are a reason for a thread lock. I pmed the headmod about this issue, he doesn't respond back.
