Look experience matters for something. Especially when it comes to comparable hardware. Would you seriously expect to get a game of this polish a year after the other two consoles had launched. So why would you expect it out of the Wii U. It isn't like the console came with enough power to spare to pull off sloppy seconds. It is last gen hardware, and the really good developers are moving their focus to next gen hardware. So you probably wont ever see a game like GTA5 on the Wii U.
Don't imply that is would be a walk in the park, or take next to no work to pull off. It would cost them some serious money to make, and even then they would have to cut out a lot of shit that made the other two versions. To get it to run well enough to be playable, and if that happened. I can guarantee you every Nintendo fan on these forums and elsewhere would bitch up a storm about lazy developers. You get what you pay for, and Nintendo fans they don't pay for shit that isn't made by Nintendo. |
wow, so much nonsense on a single post. in case you didn't notice wii u is a next gen console, the game wouldn't need any cutting.
and porting is still porting, you make it sound like it would be a herculean job to do what they do ALL the time (porting). it should barely cost an extra 2-3KK to make a wii u version and they'd profit at least 5 times that amount.
Edit: P.S: It will be hilarious if nintendo confirms GTA V on tomorrow's direct :P

The Wii U is only a next gen console to Nintendo and its fans. Everyone else knows Nintendo is trying to pawn off another last gen console as a new gen console. Like we can't tell that it is really two Wii's duct taped together. Seriously all joking aside. Have you compared the specs of the Wii U to the PS4. If you had you wouldn't be claiming that Nintendo is even in the same ball park. Hell it isn't even in the same zipcode. The PS4 has seven times the ram dedicated to gaming. If anything the Wii U is weaker compared to that then the. Wii was compared to the 360 and PS3.
P.S. I will laugh when Ubisoft and Activision abandon the Wii U. Just like about every other developer/publisher on the plant. I can't wait to watch certain people in this community fly into a massive rage, and try to damage control at the same time.

I'm no expert, but from what I've read from individuals who are knowledgeable about specs in general, the gap between Wii U and PS4 is most likely smaller than the one between Wii and PS3. Maybe more people can shed some light ?
As for whether the Wii U is a next or past gen console, seems like a pretty subjective question. If you define ''Next Gen'' strictly as a certain standard of specs, which seems to be the PS4 specs to you, than yes the Wii U is not ''Next Gen''. But I would say that what define a console is more than raw specs, especially when it comes to recent Nintendo consoles (Wii, Wii U, DS, 3DS). You may not agree with the approach Nintendo is taking, privileging new user interactions instead of raw console power, doesn't mean it shouldn't be taken into consideration when defining a console and what novelty it brings compared to the previous generation.
P.S. Did that red plumber somehow traumatized and scared the shit out of you when being a kid for now being so spiteful of Nintendo ? Or it's simply that you don't like what isn't a specs powerhouse ?
