FF will lose the spot, the series has lost SO MUCH power since 13.

I loved Final Fantasy up to the PS1 era. I played the PS2 games, but I have no plans to play XIII or XV. I see lots of people saying that this series' quality is on a decline since the late 2000's.

But man, this is Final Fantasy VII Remake. Fans of the series were waiting for it since the PS3 era. I was expecting so much more hype.

Hard to tell from just this data, but it's quite possible that the game opting for a FF XV-esque combat system and other gameplay alterations that make it a radically different game is hurting it.  Especially among the old school fans that would be most interested in it.

Another thing that could be hurting it is chopping it up into pieces.  Not only does this raise some serious concerns about the value proposition, but also is indicative of the Nomura era of Final Fantasy - which lasted years and years and years to produce one game:  Square has no sense of time and resource management when it comes to this series.  And on the value proposition side of things, if these releases are $60 and are like 30 to 40 hours, then they will be asking the same price for this PART of FFVII as Nintendo is asking for a 70 to 150+ hour RPG in Xenoblade 2.  Or Square themselves for a 90 to 150+ hour RPG in Dragon Quest XI. Or Atlus for the potentially 100+ hour Person 5.  That's not a particularly good look and only adds controversy to a release that is already changing up a classic in a lot of ways.

The trailers look great.

If FF7R underperforms there are no hopes for other big JRPG remakes, and we can't have that...

Why would you think that?

If the most famous and hyped of the genre underperforms why would anyone else be interested in doing it anymore?

We got at least like 3 other JRPG remakes set to release this year from the top of my head, granted none of them are as high profile as the FF7 Remake. But I doubt either FF7 Remake will underperform or if it does, that will mark the end of JRPG remakes.

Because anyone else would be doing a proper remake instead of SE's megalomaniac stuff.

Because global sales are what Square Enix are after, not just Japanese sales?

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon's listed as PS4 on the second list, and it comes out in 21 days, not 42 :P

Also, pls start moving faster PMD. I need you to sell well so I can get my PMD: Explorers of Sky remake in two years' time. I've done my part (preordered both digital and physical)

Red Tide rising

Someone traded his PS4 Version of Trials of Mana for a Switch version

What's that Kowloon game at the end of the charts?

Also, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is still marked as a PS4 Game @Boutros
