How much are we expecting Splatoon 2 to sell first week and LT in Japan?

For comparison sake, I remember BotW did 200k FW on Switch (460k so far) and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 280k FW (440k so far).

Honestly it depends on switches supply. I am hopeful for 600 to 800k. However I wouldn't be surprised if it was lower. However it is the legs that will be telling. If really well supplied it could be higher.

Good post. My thoughts exactly. Would of said 500k-800k. No less than 450k fw. If it released now itll be more than that.

 

If by chance it does 1mil+ fw then like i previouslyvsaid before, its going to end up top 5 best sellers of all time :p

Splatoon 2 is the reason of Switch high sales and demand in Japan. The attach rate is going to be very very high, 600k only is very low. 800k is the minimum at the moment.

Completely ridiculous. Animal Crossing sold 640k first week in 2012, 18 months after the 3DS launched when its install base was an order of magnitude greater than the Switch's will be this July. Now it's the best-selling game of the generation in Japan.

How many games sell 800k first week and why is it assumed that Splatoon has to be one of those games?
