Yes. It comes up in casual conversation.

Agree with this. I don't see any reason not to tell as long we're discussing hobbies or similar subjects.

Yes I usualy do. Altho, when I talk to girls I rarely open up with it.

Okay I think in this day and age gaming has become mainstream enough for you to say I like gaming and most people would understand you to some extent. Even the dudebro guy will appreciate gaming can be fun like while playing Call Of Duty. So yeah I could talk to some random person about gaming.

But take something like anime for example which I watch quite a lot. I wouldn't normally bring that up as a hobby, not because I'm ashamed but rather because I know that the general consensus probably wouldn't get me if I said I liked anime.

So yeah it depends on who you are talking to really.

Unlike gaming, when I told people I watched anime they looked down on me. To them, especially girls, it was something for 'kids' - a cartoon. That always made me mad. -___- When I tried to expalin the difference to them they interpreted the scenario like a toy being compared to an action figure - no significant difference and still for kids. lulz

Yeah I know what you mean. Next time maybe we should keep Attack On Titan on hand. When they see all those decapacitations and people getting eaten alive then they'll realise that compared to this Micheal Bay movies are for kids.

I dont hide it. Ive shown it off to the right ppl. I wear nintendo colors if its relevent.

Only if they ask or if gaming gets brought up in the conversation.

I don't introduce myself as gamer, but when someone asks I tell them my main hobby is gaming.

Nintendo and PC gamer

Usually, yes, if only to find out if other people like gaming as well. That said, I have plenty of other interests to talk about if gaming isn't a topic someone else can relate to.

Same case here.

I recently don't start a conversation with it but when the topic comes up, yeah, i'll proudly say i'm a gamer.
