Forums - PC Discussion - What are your specs (Mid-Enthusiast Rig owners, mainly)?

i7 3770k 3.5ghz (have yet to OC it and will need a new cpu cooler when I plan to)
evga gtx 680 superclocked+
12 or 16 GB DDR3 ram (1600mhz) (can't remember at the moment which amount it is)
MSI Z77A-GD65 motherboard
1tb hdd
bluray/dvd drive
Thor V2 white edition tower
21.5" LG monitor: only has max res. at 1920x1080

I plan to dual 680's later in the summer and get another monitor sometime.

I just recently sold off some of my components as I intend to make a completely new budget build later this year. I'm just waiting for Steamroller/Haswell (leaning toward an APU) and AMD's Sea Islands. I already have my Corsair 430W PSU ready.

As of now, its just an i3 Sandy Bridge, 8GB RAM, and Nvidia GT430 (used to be 550Ti). This holds me well at the moment since most of my gaming recently has been pure retro emulation.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

I've been really happy with my pc after my last CPU upgrade. it was a more high end pc at one time but after the years of upgrading i would say its a mid to low, but plays games great for me. I really want to get an ssd .

Intel Core i5-3570 Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model
HIS H487Q1GH Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

I really need to learn how to build one of these things.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

CPU: Core i3 2100
GPU: Gigabyte HD 7870
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333 (2 x 4GB)
HD: Hitachi 1TB HDD + WD External 1TB

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

I got an SSD a few months ago in my new laptop and it's worth more than every PC upgrade I've ever experienced. The computer just does what you want it to.

Intel Core2Duo E8500@4,0GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4850 w. 1GB RAM
8GB DDR3 RAM
1 TB HDD (Win8 was a life-saver)
19" Monitor with a resolution of 1280x1024 (aspect ratio 5:4) and alternatively a 25" TV with a resolution of 1920x1080

This might be a pretty weak rig by today's standard, but it allows me to play ~90% of the games recently released on high details and emulate most of my PS2 games with 60fps at custom resolution, so I won't beef it up for quite some time^^

My main gaming rig PC is in my signature.

My secondary LAN rig/Spare parts for main rig is:
CPU: AMD FX 8120 @ 4.2ghz - stock volts.
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
Ram: 16Gb DDR3 1600mhz Ripjaws.
GPU: 2x Radeon 6950's unlocked into 6970's.
Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FX UD7
Case: Coolermaster HAF X.
PSU: Corsair HX 850
Drives: 1x BD Burner, 2x 2tb Caviar Green, 1x OCZ Vertex 2 64Gb SSD.
Monitors: 3x 1080P Asus TN panels in eyefinity. (5760x1080.)
(Going to drop my old Corsair H100 into it soon. Whenever I can be bothered.)

HTPC:
CPU: AMD Phenom 2 x6 1090T @ 2ghz with 1.15 volts. (Underclocked! Woo! Have hit 4.2ghz on it.)
CPU Cooler: Scythe Shuriken low profile cooler.
Ram: 16Gb DDR3 1600mhz Ripjaws.
GPU: 1x Radeon 5850
Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M
Case: Silverstone SG02B-F Micro-ATX
PSU: Corsair HX 620
Drives: 1x BD Burner, 1x 64Gb OCZ Vertex 2 SSD, 4x 3tb USB 3.0 External Hard Drives.
Monitors: 60" LED LCD TV.

Portable PC is: Gigabyte T1005 Dual-Core Intel Atom Convertible Netbook/tablet, 2Gb of Ram, Intel Decelerator graphics, installed a Broadcom Crystal HD chip that I got off ebay for 20 bucks so I could watch HD video and youtube.

All my systems have Windows 7 64bit, except the Convertible Netbook/Tablet which is running Windows 8 Pro 32bit, which probably won't last much longer on that system.

Why do you have 16 gig in your HTPC?

3570K @4.2Ghz - Cooler Master Hyper 612 PWM
GTX560 (enough to play Dota 2)
8GB 1333
Asrock Z77 Pro4
Intel 330 60GB
BenQ 24"
Logitech G400
Razer Arctosa
