Both PS3 and 360 are about 25 million units behind. And with new platforms coming, catching up with Wii is unlikely.

Also, when you lose as much money as Sony did on PS3 you're disqualified from the race. Because you failed!

Since the PS4 won't be way more expensive, have a late start and such, I can see the upcoming gen as a much closer even split in NA.
