lol a better and finished version of the game was ready for production 12 months early for PS3... the game was delayed, cut and downgraded just because the 360 port. Please don't put the time for developer the game into PS3 because the game was finished a year early for it.

Again no proof for that. And why should they cut down the version because of 360? The game does nothing outstanding. Perhaps they did take some things off as they were unable to get into development for 360 fast enough but this is doubtful, too.

Since how the "quality plummeted" is sorely based on a stuborn internet consensus rather than actual sales or reviews, are you asking because a ridiculously hyped game is not on the Xbox ?

Internet consencus and reviews kinda showed a downward trend. Sales is due to marketing and the fanbase being COD in nature (yes I said it. Will buy just for the name alone).

Don't throw different things in the same barrel just to make a point.

Internet consencus aka as forum dwellers who can't go on with their lives 3 years later, are obsessed  with making it seem like FF XIII had a RE 6-like reception. It did not. It was in fact recieved better than FF XII. Noone bought FF XIV based on name alone despite FF XI's success.

And calling the FF fanbase COD in nature means nothing.

this game was always exclusive :)

I know, PS fans enjoyed putting a game that never had a confirmed release date on PS3 exclusive lists since 2007 :P



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Did I say anything different ? Versus cannot afford to sell anything less than 6 million whereas Lightning Returns will make a profit at less than 2.

Dont know where you got the lie that it was better recieved then XII. A game in the 80's ain't bad by any stretch, but its linearity and general quality dip from its previous FF iteration shows.

Dont compare a MMO to a JRPG. We all know PS gamers are allergic to paying monthly fees ;)

I don't think Versus will ever make a profit. Just like any other "big" Square-Enix game these days :/

The game is being done by Nomura. Nomura is responsible for the Kingdom Hearts series and is generally regarded as good. If the game went multiplat, I would still want this game.

XIII Series is being done by Toriyama. Toriyama has currently directed 5 games. X-2, XIII and XIII-2 along with XII: Revenant Wings and Blood of Bahamut. Lightning Returns will be his 6th. Its not Final Fantasy as a brand that has been trash this generation, its Toriyama's shitty vision and his hardon for Claire.

 

Wait until Ito is back at the reigns. Then. Then we will have Final Fantasy back. Ito Directed

I compared an MMO to another MMO you genious. And the Metascore means absolutely NOTHING, when people chose not to back it up with their wallets.

I know FF XIII was recieved better than XII because I was there. The same way I know FF IX was recieved worse than FF VIII.
