Why do you say "ask any muslim" when several deeply devoted muslims would say it's clear that muslims, even all muslims, are called to bring the world under islam?

Yes, the Koran is a very confusing book which contradicts itself in many many occasions. You quoted one peaceful passage, I can quote several others who counter your passage.

"The only reason islam is a political ideology" is not just because the ME has been under a continious dominance by islam (btw, christianity in the West has too, even longer than islam anywhere in the world), it is also because the Koran explicitly states it, unlike other world religions like bhuddism and christianity who are of personal and religious nature and not societal or political.

"Our government is 99% responsible" for muslim terror attacks in the West, wow, I'll let that speak for itself.

Christianity is political too and has canon law. Difference is compared to Islam, no country has adopted it and the main centres of Christianity are now secular with a clear seperation of Church and State and strong humanist elements in society to keep religious influence minimal. If say Europe adopted Christian laws then it wouldn't be much different from Muslim countries with Sharia. Muhammed basically copied Judeo-Christian religion and 'Arabized' it, he didn't just invent stoning to death for adultery, such punishments were nicked from the Bible.

I love reading these very partial sites but with irrefutable evidence http://www.evilbible.com/ http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/

Those 10 worst bible passages, most of that doesn't apply to christianity. Most of those 10 come from the Old Testament, very very cruel things that God allowed/commanded the Jews to do in a specific context and in a limited period of time in order to fulfill the plan that God had for the Jewish people.

The only problematic passages on that list are the New Testament statements by the apostle Paul. But Paul was an erroneus human, his words have much less authority than the teachings of Jesus (he was clearly inspired though and is undoubtedly very important for christian doctrine). Therefore most modern day christians over-rule Paul's statements about the role of women.

Christianity is not a political ideology (but it can have political implications, since modern day democracy assumes influence from all members of society, including the religious, and this fact can become problematic where christian voters are in the majority). Christian teachings only apply on individuals and the christian community, not on the societal community. It doesn't claim any authority over society whatsoever! But throughout history christianity has been distorted into something explicitly political by people, but those are mainly perversions or grave misunderstandings.

There is a huge essential difference between christianity and islam. Islam explicitly is political, just like judaism. Islam and judaism both promote a theocracy. Christianity is not political and does not promote theocracy.

Old Testament is still part of Christianity though? Christians worship the same God right? The God that spoke to Jesus also spoke to Moses? Didn't Jesus command his followers to follow the laws laid down in the Old Testament? http://carm.org/questions/about-jesus/what-did-jesus-teach-about-old-testament

Yes its part of christianity but when the The Old Testament is read in light of the New Testament it ceases to have societal and political consequences.

I don't know much about Sam Harris apart from him being a hardcore critic of religion, but that video shows he doesn't understand christianity.

It should be up to the individual Muslims to prove they are not terrorists. Governments need to crack down on Muslims and stop playing the ineffective political correctness card. Muslims should all be micro-chipped and tracked 24/7 by the government. Only the terrorists would object to a policy that keeps us all safe.

Yes, like you white people did to black slaves, then jews in the Holocaust...

Then you can be sure that now that Asia is becoming the pole of power, the whole world hates the western countries, which happen to be falling appart, in this third century the civilization shift will make sure that white people will be wiped from earth.
