You Are Not Dreaming – This is Real: Nintendo fans rejoice: EarthBound is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console this year. The original game was created by Shigesato Itoi and released on Super NES in 1995.

This announcement was much more important than many people realize. Why did they decide to bring Earthbound to NA? Iwata said it was because of all the fan backlash on Miiverse. This means Miiverse is a proven method of getting what we want from Nintendo of Japan! THINK OF THE IMPLICATIONS!

The hidden megaton for me was the fact that they're updating the Wii U so I can play virtual console games on the gamepad itself. (I'm sure this was already known, but I had somehow missed this news). Super excited for Earthbound. =) It's one of my top 5 favorite games of all time.
