Would you trust a dentist that has been doing work for 25+ years? Would you trust a doctor with 25+ years of experience to cut your stomach open and remove your pancreas? If you answered "yes"Then you can trust Nintendo because they've been making successful games for 25+ years! WOW! Who would have thought!

There's no Mario Kart, Smash Bros., Zelda, Sonic, Pikmin, F-Zero, Metroid, Star Fox, Pokemon, (NEW) Dragon Quest, 3D Mario, Kirby, Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Donkey Kong, on the Wii U and it is still doing okay. Just wait until E3.
I bet you 1 million dollars that Nintendo's software steals the show.

Lower that bet to $10 and you got a deal, Nintendo games didn't steal the show the last few e3s and they won't now. People know what they are expecting, no way they can steal the show.

Nintendo didn't announce any new games the last few years....in fact the only E3 where Nintendo announced even half of the upcoming Nintendo games that we will see at E3 this year was back in 2009(I think), when they revealed Donkey kong returns, NSMBW, Zelda skyward sword, Kirby's epic yarn, kid icuars etc.  And yes, Nintendo arguably did steal though show that year.

I still have my money on Sony winning out of the big 3 at e3 again like last year.  They also did announce a lot of the wii u games at 2011 like smash bros, zelda hd and such.

Nintendo has already announced 7 games that will be shown at E3 this year, and that doesn't incloude Miyamota's new IP, or Retro's new title.  A lot of the Sony devs are finishing up projects this year so likely other than what is already announced, there won't be much.  And as far as 2011, there is a huge difference between mentioning a game they haven't started working on, and showing a trailer for the game, but like I said, they are going to be showing around 9 first party games at least, with 8 of them being core titles.  And Idk about Sony winning, maybe arguably, but both Nintendo and Sony had terrible E3's last year, and Nintendo did show a lot more core games than Sony did, but that's including the 3ds games, and Nintendo also showed a lot of shovelware.

Personally,I think it's Nintendo's to lose.  But hey, either way, as long as we are arguing over which conference is "Better" instead of which one is "worse" like last year, I'm more than happy:P

Yeah, i am excited for this years E3 and can't wait to see what happens, but i was refering to that poll ign had on which e3 presentation was better and with 50,000 votes Sony got half. Most websites also agreed they won. As long as all 3 bring everything they got, this e3 will be amazing and will have a hard time finding a winner.

I think the issue is that people tend to pick a winner based on what games they specifically want.  And last year, I don't think as many people were as excited about pikmin 3 as they were about the Last of Us.  Even though when all is said and done, it wouldn't surprise me if Pikmin 3 ends up being the better game.

But I still am not convinced that microsoft will have a good presentation this year, but we shall see.

I personally don't think sales at the moment are very good at all, not sure why people are thinking its selling good.

But anyway... E3... I dont know - every year we all get very excited, the rumours begin...and we get a snorefest of some moderately interesting things and everything else is a bit boring. For the last couple of years Sony have won E3 in my book, but they were all pretty dire... last year being really bad.

E3 could be an absolute disaster in Hype.. so i am trying not to get that excited about it. I expect Sony and MS to show lots of things (but they probably wont), I would *EXPECT* nintendo to show lots of things.

But the biggest problem for Nintendo is they've had their launch, and you have two companies having theirs, so they may get pushed to the side. E3 is certainly going to be interesting this year to see if they all screw up again.

Nintendo can't afford to screw up. They know they need games to sell the console they'll deliver games. PS3 and XBOX 360 games weren't the best at launch because the developers were working with the first ever HD consoles. Now Nintendo is going through the same process.

Nope, the only good thing that has come out to it is MH3... Lego City is not going to save the Wii U, a lot of people like me don't Lego games.

The Wii U isn't selling at all. Even in its own territory of Japan, it is floundering.

Dude, you might want to take a math course.  Not selling at all would be 0 units sold weekly.  While the tens of thousands a week sold may not be great, it's by no means "isn't selling at all" level.

I am an Atomic physicist. The spin on this site is ridiculous. The Wii U is having abysmal sales there is no way to spin this. Nintendo have completely fucked up the launch of this console and made the year head start redundant. Nintendo is going to have a rough E3 when Microsoft and Sony reveal their consoles, awesome 3rd party support and amazing graphics. The problem is, nobody knows or cares about the Wii U and it is all Nintendos fault. Nintendo telling everyone to be patient and apologising the whole time is getting embarrassing at this stage.

Nintendo doesn't need 3rd parties or an awesome e3, that's for core gamers, and most don't and won't ever care about Nintendo consoles.

What Nintendo needs are games that sell Nintendo consoles, and much more of them.

There's no spin here, just common sense. The sales are "O.K." given its current library and price, and people are buying it despite the few interesting games. I haven't, and will only buy it when Zelda comes out, and I'm sure there are others out there waiting for the games they like and the price to go down before biting. When that does happen the sales will not only be O.K., but great.

sales are fucking terrible
