fuck that man, the next batman is coming to WiiU but NOT the PS4 or 720

I'm not sure that's good news for the WiiU if it just means that a next gen upgrade will release on PS4 and Nextbox while the WiiU just gets the current gen version that the PS3 and Xbox 360 are getting.

Just like Arkham City releasing for PS3/360 was "not good news" for them because the Wii U got a next-gen upgrade?

Well, it was a port with extras and tablet control, not a next gen game. But The Wii U getting Batman AO is good news today. All I'm saying is that if the Wii U gets the same version as PS3 and 360 and then the Nextbox and PS4 get full next gen Batman games that the Wii U doesn't, that wouldn't be the best news tomarrow.

If there was any kind of precedent to suggest that this was going to happen, I might be concerned. But if you look at games like Watch_Dogs and Assassin's Creed, even though the PS4 version will run better, and be the "best version," they're still the same game. There's no reason to assume an entirely different version of Arkham Origins will be announced for PS4, nor any reason to believe it won't be. It's fine to wait and see, as the game doesn't come out for six months.

Basically, you can be optimistic without cause, or you can be cynical without cause, it's entirely your choice. Personally I don't see the point going through life being cynical about everything; I'd rather waver between apathy and optimism.

Well, I kinda understand. How many people are going to buy a Wii U for Battlefield? They probably already have a PS3/360 or plan to get a PS4/NextBox.

Then again, can't developers make a Wii U game which doesn't use the Game Pad? I think Battlefield with Wii-Motes would be awesome. Also with the PS4/720 just releasing, their install base will be small too. How hard is it to port the 360 version and have it play with the Wiimote/Pro Game Controller? I think it's a slap in the face to Nintendo, and just adds fuel to the "Nintendo is only for Kid" arguement.

However I am glad that Batman Origins is releasing for the Wii U. That's a non-violent type of game which I can see appealing to Nintendo owners, and if that didn't release for Wii U I'd really be scared.

P.S. Mass Effect Next better release for the Wii U if it also releases for the PS3/360 (which I think it will since like Mass Effect 3, is also a Frostbite engine game). Mass Effect is definatly the type of game Wii U fans would buy.

when the console start selling then they would reconsider....

that will happen when nintendo pour their games in.... the domino effect

That may not happen though. Multiple people (EA CEO, Epic Games, DF guys) all clearly believe the Wii U is 7th gen, ergo part of a closing gen and therefore may not expect to see the console to actually sell well. If it does start selling, by that time the pS4 etc may be out and it'd be a ball ache to scale PS4 games all the way down to Wii U hardware - it may not be cost effective.

who said that wii u is part of the 7th gen?????

link?

i didnt know it was that bad

it seems like they are just bad mouthing nintendo since gen is base on timeline....

well we will see "if" wii u start flying out from the shelves....

Wiki it - the references are in the first paragraph of the page. Yeah some people have been really outspoken about it.

Actually gen isn't based on timeline; it's a lot more complex than that. To be honest, it makes a lot more sense to say it's based on hardware, but each to their own.
