Forums - Microsoft Discussion - What XBox exclusives would causes you to stick with Microsoft if they only have always on and block used games?

Say that Sony decides to not go always on, and allows used games, but Microsoft goes blocked used game sales and always connected to Internet?  Is there any particularly XBox 360 exclusive franchises so desiraable, that you would not switch to Sony?

If there are, can you mention them below?

halo is enough for me, that's the reason why i know i will buy the nextbox even if it will be shit^^ and since i already need internet to play halo it would not even change something for me.

but i could switch from "every multiplat on 360 or pc" to "every multiplat on pc or ps4" if i will like the ps4 controller more as the ps3 controller and i believe i will.

lol i would hope that the majority would let M$ know by saying something like "look we've enjoyed your games for years and we would love to continue but we just simply CANNOT support this always online feature" or something like that

they would change that sh!t up quickly then.

I hope this doesn't have to happen though. hopefully the mandatory always online thing will be dropped before the 720 reveal

man we really don't need that sh!t in any of our gaming consoles

its like wtf is happening to our gaming consoles? you would pretty much be at their mercy with that feature. you wouldnt realize it at 1st though

the masses are to weak minded to resist something like halo 5.

The Last of Us 2: Lasting even more.

I buy both and I like a lot of exclusives that MSFT gets. Anyways I support no used game sells. Maybe not always online but i do support used game sells being blocked.

i'm not weak minded but i don't care if i need always on and whatever for halo when i need that since i play online games. it would change exactly 0 for me but i would surely stop playing singleplayer games on nextbox if i would get them anywhere else. that alone would cost them probably around 1k in royalties in my case.

Considering that I'm a PC gamer who runs Steam, I really wouldn't give a shit if the next console requires to always be on the internet as my internet works pretty well. The problem for me remains to be the business model of XBL Gold, once that appeal was gone for me in 2008, I can safely say that I never will go back unless the business model changes to be more advantageous to the consumers.

what kind of business model are you looking for, any examples?

None. I've been a massive fan of Xbox since the original, with Halo and Gears among my top franchises ever, but I'd rather quit them cold turkey than support such an anti-consumer concept.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
