Never really cared for Mad Men and I think Hannibal is better than GOT and I love GOT. I will agree that Season 1 of True Detective is probably better overall than Hannibal, but I have no idea how Season 2 will turn out.

Im glad hannibal isnt another FireFly.... I loved that series, but apparnetly most americans didnt, or it was to offensive that there was a prositute along with the grew in that show... so it got axed.

I was worried something simular would happend after season 1, glad I was worried for nothing.
Also really glad I read this thread and learned that it has outsides backing, helping it make 5+ seasons :)

True Detective Second season does open some question of whether it can leave up to the standards of the first. Love the first season, it felt like turning Se7en into a TV Series. The second season will have different directos (not including the one in charge of all the episodes from the first), different cast, different story. There is a trailer but I haven't seen it to save me some spoilers. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I never read complaints about Inara's character so I don't know. But I do read about the problems Firefly had due to Fox airing episodes randomly and not in order. People not endorsing good shows is not something that surprises me but that doesn't make the pain of seeing these great series being axed either.

Apparently Hannibal's premier matched the lowest viewership score it has gotten in its history so maybe we still need to worry. I read that part of the reason the series hasn't been canceled yet is because of how NBC gets profits out of it from selling the series to other channels worldwide.

People are making love to the idea of Hannibal being picked up by Nextflix.

That fucking last episode man:

The table scene, that was so fast I didn't expect none of that. Hannibal be like toying with everyone and Will is like in his next level of understanding Hannibal to catch his ass. XD

I love the way they approached Hannibal's origins after the lackluster movie adaption.

Frightens me the thought of this series getting cancelled and it unfortunately keeps becoming more and more likely. I'd love to see this series cover the whole books/films.

Hannibal has been canceled. Season 3 will run as usual. Apparently beyond the low rating, rights to the Clarice Starling character meant to appear in the next season may have been the reason to pull the plug.

However there's still hope. DeLaurentiis Co. has tweeted that there are people interested in partnering to continue the series:

It seems like Amazon could benefit from picking up there series:

Fingers crossed. :(

#Hannibal is trending worldwide in Twitter:

You can twit your pain there as I have. :(

Well, that is all. Bryan Fuller gave us an astounding adaption to works we already loved.

It is a shame we could see the story go further beyond the Red Dragon but Fuller gave us a fitting end to the series, which was one of my fears.

It was an awesome ride.

- Actors were released from contracts

- Hugh Dancy has a new TV Series coming, so does Fuller

- Amazon, the most likely one to pick up there series, was actually turned down by Fuller because they wanted to make it happen right away, when Fuller had other commitments

- Netflix passed, there was a contract with Amazon preventing online distribution or something

- MGM have the rights to The Silence of the Lambs and they have shown reluctance in handing them over, there was more story intended to appear in the show by Fuller outside of Silence though.

- Low ratings and even more waning interest due to the passing of time

All these things make the series unlikely to continue, but I will join you in your hopes anyway.
