Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo declares war!

BaldrSkies said:
Next you know Sony is going to start flying PS3 ads provocatively near Nintendo HQ, while Microsoft urges both parties to show restraint and civil discussion. Meanwhile the United third parties security council unanimously pass sanctions against Nintendo, refusing to allow ports and engines across the border. However, a couple rogue states such as Capcom and Square Enix continue to support Nintendo's actions. Nintendo continues to devote its resources to building games of mass destruction and crude hardware to deliver them, as well as putting on grand shows for the few in their capitol, but fail to realize the rest of their people are starving in the meantime.

hahaha that was awesome

What a joke. Nintendo brought this on themselves. I used to believe third parties were out and against them until I did a little research myself. Nintendo works with no one and expects people to break their back to work on their unique tech that generally only works for them. Sony and Microsoft make their own games but can also work in harmony with third parties. Why can't Nintendo? Sure, Sony liberated third parties in the mid-late 90's from Nintendo but as they screwed up with the PS3 architecture and they apologized to the third party devs for screwing up with the cell. They understand that third parties titles are console sellers now and publisher and dev respect is due.

@bold. How? How do you know that Nintendo is hard to work with? Where do you get that information nobody else knows about?

Dude...we've been talking about this for a while now. Look up any documentary or article talking about Nintendo when they were strong with third parties in the 90's. I thought third parties were disliking them and I couldn't prove it until I tried to figure it out for myself. Nintendo is an enclosed company with their own goals.

As a Nintendo fan you should know Nintendo will always do what they think is best for Nintendo [edited]. Its never mattered what third parties think.

Isn't that what every buisness does? The interests of the own company always are the first thing companies will consider. How it turns out is another story...

Look at what made the SNES, PS1, PS2, Xbox 360 and PS3 so successful. It was some sort of healthy dependence on third parties that generally leads consoles to victory. Nintendo does not have it as we've seen for three or four generations since the Playstation arrived. Tell me..why would devs just suddenly switch sides with Sony and Microsoft over Nintendo? The Wii is an extreme exception to the rule because of the now used up boom for casual gaming. Nintendo tried to tap the casuals again with the tablet and it failed to catch on.

Yeah, that's why I bolded it. I seem to have forgot what I intended to write about halfway through my comment. Finding the right balance between satisfying their own needs and the needs of 3rd-party devs is a very important part of the development of a console. They gambled once and won with the Wii, now it seems like they at the edge with the WiiU...

Exactly, Nintendo gambles quite a bit and from Nintendos actions with the Wii U, do you believe anywhere that they consulted with third parties (since third parties are more independent than they used to be in the 90's)? Nintendo always stays behind because theyve always believed in cheap and affordable hardware for all their buyers. Games are toys to them. Sony treated the gaming industry the way it was always meant to be treated, like a tech industry which is why a boom occured and it nearly doubled in marketshare when Sony was at their peak, inspiring Microsoft to join. You make a console that deals in last gen, you will be treated as such.

it´s pretty clear you have no clue about Nintendo.

Whith that said.

You clearly show what kind of poster you are when you have to enter a joke thread to spread lying venom about a company you never had or will never have any interest in.

Ok....if I am wrong...name the most expensive Nintendo console, shall we? My point was Nintendo always takes  hit or miss risks with their new ideas or consoles. At E3 they are the hit or miss company. Either they are really good or really bad. Their best showing was in 2011, pretty much.

Go create your own thread and discuss what ever you want and you can spread what ever propaganda about how evil nintendo is and how they deserve it and bla bla bla bla

This has no place in a joke thread.

If you are confused or dont have the wit to understand this thread look at the post i quoted it should give you a hint.

It would be neat if there was a button that launched the ball from the controller. I think it would be more amusing to play with than anything else it's used for!

There also should have been a minigame on Wii where you spin the nunchuck around by the cord, and there should have been a game on Kinect that actually works.

The ball could fall of whne your ammo is out and you have to put it on to reload :P

I wouldnt be suprised if there were such game in the works for the wii but when they saw the early you tube vids of people´s wii motes flying into to tv´s they probably scrapped the projects.
