Since upgrading to W8, I can no longer logout from this forum.... it just jumps to an old post of mine instead of logging out (??

WTF...do you guys even know how to use Windows 8..

Considering I just got it today, the answer would be "No".

And considering I don't care at all what Windows 8 does, the answer would be "No", even after three months of W8 use. I have the symbol bar at the bottom with the programs I want, the desktop icons I want, everything just like in XP before, so why would I care? And yes, there are a few grave design faults built into W8, and the full screen "buy XBox gamesadds" are annoying at best (somehow when I click around, I often end up on that part of W8). More problems I have with my new beQuiet ps, three months old and my pc has started to reboot in minute's intervals...

Sounds like a horror movie!

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

That is one of the great things about operating systems. You can customize them how you want. But since you dislike it so much, you can always go buy XP and install that on your computer.

I'm absolutely astounded how much hate Windows 8 has gotten because the lack of the "Start" button, when it is still there. It just doesn't say "Start". You click there, and there's your start menu. "Oh, but it looks way different than before". It's no different people, you can move things around as you please, add things to it how you want, and type in something to search for whatever it is you are looking for.

And the classic "I don't understand how to turn off my computer now". Ctrl+Alt+Delete, bottom right side is power stuff. These things aren't that complicated.

Don't get me wrong, I despise some of the apps on Windows 8. They are made extremely poorly, and need some major work done to them, but there are others that are great. But that isn't Windows 8, that is the apps/programs being made for Windows 8.

I think it is fair to say that windows 8 is a very unfriendly interface.  The bones of the program may be good but the presentation is subpar.

You do realize by saying that, you are saying Windows has had an unfriendly interface since...forever? Because the only slight change to the interface is the Start button now encompasses an entire screen.

Use a desktop browser not a Metro one.

It has all those cumbersome fullscreen apps that aren't designed for a mouse.

The fact that third parties have made apps that you deem to be cumbersome doesn't mean Windows 8 has an unfriendly interface. It means the apps developed for Windows 8 are poor.

I also have to laugh, because every single argument I've heard from people in this thread are the classics that were used against Windows by people that very likely didn't touch it. Because all of the annoying stuff meant for touching and not for a mouse? Its just as easy or easier with a mouse. You didn't want to hear that though, so I'll keep quiet about it.

I didn't have much choice since my new laptop came with Windows 8.

Anyways, I also have issues with these forums. When trying to post or edit a post I can't highlight and drag or do just about anything...

This is totally frustrating.

You need to activate the compatible Vista on IE10 because VGchartz uses a very old website layout that is out of date and IE10 does not know it in its regular form. I use Chrome while im in VGC and IE10 for the rest of the web.

On the Pandora thing i can use Tune In radio and minimize it whenever i want while keep listening to radio, use IE10 on desktop mode and will be the same as it was with Windows 7, i dont see any problem you just need to get used to it, its easy.

Windows 8 is amazing and i cant wait for Blue (:

Make sure you use the IE10 on Desktop mode and NOT METRO, Metro IE10 was made for Tablet, it works great with Mouse as well but its not as organized as the desktop version.

Plus you have amazing apps on Windows 8, i recommend you to install Tune IN, BackGround Wallpapers HD, Twitter, Multimedia 8, Twitter, Tile LiveScore, PrimeTime Tv and Great Windows Apps... Also dont forget Fresh Paint.

Windows 8 is amazing, once you get used to it you will love it! The best OS Ms has ever made, absolutely fast and with amazing apps that work great with mouse and touch! They need to improve somethings yet but Blue should fix that (:

After installing a custom start menu button, then just using the windows key to access the Tile menu I began to really like windows 8, sure I have had an issue here and there but nothing major and I am enjoying the improved UI.

As for your issue perhaps try an alternative web browser.

I am seriously having issues doing any sort of Rich Text Reply or Editing of posts...

Haven't had such a poor forum experience on VGChartz since using an Android, lol.

The site has trouble with IE10. Just click the Compatibility Mode button in the address bar (looks like a broken page to the right of the address) or install FireFox or Chrome.
