I have an HTC One from last year... are they not giving these devices new names or what?

Are you sure it's not an HTC One-X?

That sounds right. So they dropped a letter? Even more confusing, usually companies add letters.

Yeah it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. When I first heard all the buzz about the HTC One I thought it was the One-X and was wondering why they were making such a big fuss about a phone that's already been out for a while. It took me a bit to realize it was a completely new phone.

Wow, the HTC One looks like an incredible phone. I would definitely choose this phone over the iPhone 5 and that's coming from a 4s owner currently.

Xperia Z for me.

I've not had a good experience with HTC, tried three of them (tried three bought one)

my old ass Sony Erisson still works better than the HTC phone i got about a year ago.

This phone is now on my radar. I'll be upgrading in the middle of the year so I have a few months to consider the options.

The advantage of having SD is that you can backup to it, and in the event that your phone croaks, simply yank the SD and retrieve your data.

I thought that this would be bad, too, but

a) you can still use an sd-card via usb and

b) you can save your data to pc.

Wow the phone looks great. I thought its design was the only thing that was better than the S4 but its software features make it look good as well. I'm just skeptical it won't sell well cause its competing against the S4. Maybe HTC should release the phone in November - January so that it doesn't have to compete against Samsung Galaxy phones.

I had my eye on this phone for a while.  The greatest and worst feature is fact that its waterproof.  Obviously being waterproof is a very nice feature but not at the cost of the viewing quality.  I've heard that the coating that makes the phone waterproof really diminishes the look of the screen.  It's too bad cause I'm sure it has one of the more nice screens when not covered over.
