A big fan might do that but I think over an extended period of time. I dont think the commercial was THAT great. I think it reached a lot of people as someone said before about 20-22 million people seems more accurate.

But in truth that doesn't assure much. I don't think we can establish a correlation between video hit counts and future units sold. At least we won't have the argument: "Look at Sony's PS4 reveal. People don't even watch it at YouTube." though.


True, this Ben 10 game review has 54 million views (I don't know why) but I don't recall it lighting up the charts:

That PS4 trailer was good though.

No, It really didn't. Not even close. Add to that the fact that every major Dev will be supporting the PS4 with everything they have because if it or the 720 fail then they're all fucked.

You also have to take into consideration the people returning to the video to read/reply to comments, etc. Hell, I've probably "watched" the video 5+ times myself, and I am by no means a Playstation fan.

Thats not really all that impressive. im sure the number of unique visitors is pretty much less than half of that.
