I don't care what Yuji Korekado or Atsushi Inaba say, only King Kojima can confirm is canon. Its like Dragon Ball GT.

Great example... I didn't consider Dragon Ball GT a part of Dragon Ball too (in fact I never watched it because that)... it's like fillers in animes... for me they are not part of the franchise.

But then...why is not a Metal Gear game?

How I can explain to you...

What define a Metal Gear game? Or better what the Metal Gear defined in the history of the videogames? An unique style, a new genre focused in stealth... a action-stealth game.

Rising is not a action-stealth game and didn't feel like one... so it lacks the main and most important factor af a Metal Gear game.

It's like to make a FPS Stree Fighter game lol lol lol

You could argue Metal Gear was unique to the genre. But the same does not apply to Metal Gear Solid saga.

Are you telling me that Peace Walker was action-stealth game?

The only reason that MGR sold better than DmC is because Raiden's hair is white.

/joke

Yes and one of the best MGS already created...

It seems that it's actually a critical travesty that this has happened, and is just more fuel to the fire that brand name is what sells a game, not quality. Especially prevalent since Platinum and Ninja Theory are both under-appreciated devs (in my opinion) who never get the sales they deserve.

But Platinum had the home advantage (they are Japanese, so the game will sell in Japan) and the IP advantage (Metal Gear is much bigger than Devil May Cry) so at the end of the day it wouldn't have made the blindest bit of difference which was actually the better game. Not that I can comment, because I won't be buying either of these titles for full price.

Then Rising is action-stealth too. You are forced to fight in some sequences, but you were forced to fight in some sequences in Peace Walker too. Other that not having side-quests like PW, and changing the substance of the battles, the games are pretty much alike.

Are you joking no? Rising have some minor stealth element that you never needs do use... the game is pure action.

No, you're the one joking! You are encouraged to use stealth in your advantage every time you can. Your codec buddies even congratulate you for doing so.

By the same logic, you don't need to use stealth at all in Peace Walker, don't you? Just tommy-guy'd your way toward the end of every mission.

On Revengeance difficulty, the ninja kill will be the warrior's truest friend.

Just to be recorded here... my way optimists sales for Rising (2M combined) was way optimists... the game will no cross 1.5m combined with these first week sales.

DmC a better game IMO deserver more sales... anyway I don't know why DmC sold so little.
