Speaking of which....

Now that Disney owns the rights to Spidey, wouldn't they be looking to produce movies in their own studios, rather than Sony?

Woah I thought Sony still owned the cinematic rights to the Spiderman franchise.

Ah! Here we go:

Any of the previous motion picture deals Marvel made with other studios will remain intact, at least until they expire. (Currently major Marvel franchises are farmed out to several different studios: Spider-Man at Columbia/Sony, Iron Man and other Avengers at Paramount, X-Men at Fox, and so on.) New franchises, and franchises continuing beyond existing deals, will likely be under the Disney/Marvel name.

Some deals will remain intact: Spider-Man's deal at Sony, for example, is open-ended, with three more films on the way under the Columbia name, and Paramount still has a deal to release five more Marvel films, starting with Iron Man 2.

I am Nintendo/Sony which I didn't think was a unique breed on VGChartz.

Even though it shouldn't be like that, it kind of is.

Agreed.  On the Internet and especially this site, it's all about Wii60 vs. Sony.  But in real life, it always seems the opposite.  People who like Sony seem to like Nintendo because they have more games in common.  And most MS fans IRL hate both of them because they aren't geared toward FPS games as much as the Xbox.  "Why would I buy a system that doesn't have Halo?" is often what I hear from MS fans.  I also don't remember being attacked for my choice of console until this generation - and it was by MS fans.

I think on the Internet, the inter-company drama plays a bigger role than gaming tastes, which is why you have Wii60 vs. Sony all the time.  Next generation, I'm sticking with Sony and Nintendo.  As far as I'm concerned, MS gave the finger to jRPG fans like myself when I bought there system only to see support dropped over night.  I'm not sure why I'm supposed to like that no matter how "cool" the Xbox is.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Well, I love PS2 & 3DS & DS

But I dislike the PSP & PS3 & Wii, except for their ability to do DLC and the WiiMote and you get the idea.

Its really the library for me, and I personally am greatful that I never bought the PSP & Wii & PS3, even though I almost ended up buying all 3 of those when they were new to the market..........dodge 3 bullets there, LOL.

just give me the games that will leave me with a good experience having a great time.

Well, I guess that's why I went from Sony is better to Nintendo is better.

But the 7th Generation Home Consoles have left a sour taste for me. I'm hoping the Wii U keeps showing off the kind of upcoming titles that they have been, like that Nintendo Direct about the Wii U did. If the Wii U keeps this up, I might buy myself a Home Console again and have faith in Home Consoles of course, like I did with PS2.

Well, that's just me I guess.

Are you serious?

I only can see the reality: SONY always attacking, NINTENDO fans only defending.

This is a very serious question and i demand an answer for it immediately , Dudes!

Why do you hate Sony? I've noticed a lot of hate towards Sony by Nintendo folks and they always side with Microsoft. is it because Sony is the first one to beat you in the console wars. Or what?

Please comment with a reasonable answer without trolling or flaming.

I owned a PS1 and PS2, but prefer Nintendo systems. I don't hate Sony, and I believe the industry is better off with a strong Sony than without Sony.

Pretty much this. Great finds.

Ok I'll go ahead and admit it, I really don't like them.

I don't like what Sony has brought to the video game market. The PS1 dazzled people with prerendered cutscenes (nevermind the gameplay). And imo they've kept that focus on the cinematic yet shallow. It's just not a cool approach to making games, cause games aren't movies or TV shows. But hey, Sony makes TVs and movies and is in control of whatever media standard there is in entertainment. So they keep raising the tech bar - turns out 3rd parties love that cause it's the easiest way of "innovating" (by not actually innovating anything but graphics).

Another thing is their shameless use of violence in their games. Ever since Sony entered the market, video games have become that much more cruel and sadistic. Sony produce whatever may sell. Adolescents like brutality? Let's make our own ultra violent flagship series (God Of War), with a deceptively comic-like hero. And promote it with an actual dead goat, wtf.

And I am still bitter about Sony luring Square away from Nintendo - although less so when looking at what Square has become.

---
So that's my gut feeling about them, and it's unlikely to ever change. BUT of course I am aware that it's not all black&white. I'm sure they've made some truly great games, I know they have crazy indie studios today, and I even agree that Nintendo does need a kick in the butt every now and then, so in that respect it's good they're around.

Nintendo fan from the 80's but that doesn't mean I hate Sony. I have ps2 and PSP. I just like nintendo produced games better. I wouldn't be overly concerned if Nintendo just went software, but thats for another thread

Because there can only be one.
