I am Nintendo/Sony which I didn't think was a unique breed on VGChartz.

Even though it shouldn't be like that, it kind of is.

Agreed.  On the Internet and especially this site, it's all about Wii60 vs. Sony.  But in real life, it always seems the opposite.  People who like Sony seem to like Nintendo because they have more games in common.  And most MS fans IRL hate both of them because they aren't geared toward FPS games as much as the Xbox.  "Why would I buy a system that doesn't have Halo?" is often what I hear from MS fans.  I also don't remember being attacked for my choice of console until this generation - and it was by MS fans.

I think on the Internet, the inter-company drama plays a bigger role than gaming tastes, which is why you have Wii60 vs. Sony all the time.  Next generation, I'm sticking with Sony and Nintendo.  As far as I'm concerned, MS gave the finger to jRPG fans like myself when I bought there system only to see support dropped over night.  I'm not sure why I'm supposed to like that no matter how "cool" the Xbox is.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
