I've been away for the past two weekends so I haven't touched my drawing much recently. I've checked some youtube videos on how to paint fur so I might redo some patches using these techniques.

But, I have to admit I'm itching to start a new project... I thought about a semi-realistic Ayla (from Chrono Trigger). I'd use a real model as basis for the body and add the fur outfit over it. This could end up looking really cool or atrocious but I think I'll give it a try.

I'll definitely be following :3

As promised, here's my drawing :)

I'm pretty nooby so ALL feedback is welcome - This is my first for real drawing ever, besides when I first tried out my drawing pad. This took maybe four sessions to complete, each session around 2 hours.

Thanks Marucha for making this thread :)

O_O

That's amazing. Did you use a model, or was that from scratch?

The layer functions are really a godsent, are they not? =P

I put this in my OP (it's called Coolorus)

But I definitely recommend this to replace the standard "color picker" (if you can even call it that) for your program... it's only like $10 so it's a very minimal investment, but it helps a lot.

I highly highly super duper recommend it. Especially if you are still learning color and really don't want that clunky interface to distract you from your colorwork. It's speeds my work up a ton...

There's another one too called "MagicPicker". I do believe it has a mixer palette as well

Is it a Photoshop Plugin?

Yes they both are. I haven't used MagicPicker. I might have used a demo at one point but I thought way too much going on in the interface and too many options (which is good if that's for you though). I really like how streamlined Coolorus is and how it's basically laid out in general. It doesn't run slow or anything... you forget it's a plugin after a while and the license gives you access for two machines total. Have never had it crash

I just realized with the Magicpicker, you have to buy the Mixer palette thing separately. :/ Meh. It doesn't seem to work like the painter version either... it's better to just open up a small blank document and mix colors at that rate

Today's update:

I did the line art and shading for the inner shirt and jeans.

Getting close to finishing! *-* I still gotta fill in some details and fix some stuff...

Good job miz!

As for myself, my Ayla project will have to wait. It was too much of an undertaking as a second projet. I think I'm gonna to a simple portrait, I think this P!nk shot would make an interesting drawing.

Signature goes here!

^^Oooh that's a really nice pic. Remember to share with us! ヽ(^。^)ノ

I had brilliant Idea... why don't I edit OP so you guys can share your deviantart/blogs/etc? That way instead of having to go through the whole thread. If people want to look at your work, they can just find your name in the OP? I can link every post I guess, but depends if I have time honestly to do that regularly...
