Are there any titles announced for the US/Japan that are unannounced for Europe? They would qualify as new to Europe, in the worst case scenario.

Hopefully, one or two new titles, TVii and revamped Virtual Console, and a universal account system are coming. That would go some way towards convincing me to purchase a Wii U.

Good luck with the first three, lol.

I think they will hold off on Yoshi's Island as well even if it is in development out of respect for Ubi Soft and Rayman Legends. Hard enough competing against NSMBU, throw in a 2D Yoshi game coming down the pipeline and it would make it tougher for Ubi Soft to sell their game.

Since this direct is with Iwata I wouldn't expect any western games. I'm pretty sure this direct is primarily aimed to stop the Wii U free fall in Japan. I would expect to see stuff from Koei, Namco, Capcom, SEGA, maybe Konami. Maybe a scoop of Nintendo goodness. But nothing from EA, Acti, Ubi etc.
