SquareEnix made only mistakes in this Gen.
The argument with Final Fantasy 13 selling is so wrong.FF13 had a lot of hype behind it.Everyone expected the ULTRA HD Game with that insane Worldmap and all that stuff. We got the tube simulator that has nothing to do with Final Fantasy. It sold cause of the Name.
They went to a platform no one likes and even made a lot of changes for them to get liked by their community.
SquareEnix or rather the upper heads are on the same weird trip like Capcom where everything has to be liked by the Call of Duty Community.Wada said it himself that he wants to conquer that community and thinks its the right way to go exactly as those idiots at capcom in combination with Resident Evil...Abandon the consoles and the community that madee you big and aim everything on people who don't care at all.
Worked pretty well right?
FF13-2 showed the real numbers of a Final Fantasy Game of this Gen - Even Tales of Xillia sold better in the first weeks IN JAPAN and had a lot bigger impact.Just cause it was exclusive to the rght platform and made for the Japanese audience.I hope it was worth it to change everything and get the hate of every important person.
Just saying - FF13-2 on the PS3 still outsold the version of FF13 of the other console.Totally worth it.
Guess why Versus13 is for 6 years or so now in the Top5 of the Most Wanted Charts in Japan.Team Nomura loves the most important console,he aims absolutely everything at that community and goes all out without any hesitation.Sadly FF14 bombed and they had to work all on that garbage while Wada can start a next attempt with Lightning ReturnsThis time they try to get the AssaCreed people interested yeeeah
J-RPGs in this Gen that were made for the Japanese audience played in general extremly well and remembered on titles from Gens before this one.
LO had that feeling.Tales of had it.Xenoblade had it and NiNoKuni has it.
All of those are aimed completely on the japanese market and surprise suprise those are liked pretty well in this Gen when it comes to the quality of them.
