The only cautionary note I'd add here is that The Last Story was XSEED's most successful game. XSEED did not pay for the game's development, and it's equally unclear what terms they had with Nintendo for publishing it. In other words, 160k units might have been great for XSEED, but it might have done little for Nintendo's bottom line (as Nintendo did pay for development).

I doubt that would be the case, but it's something to keep in mind.

Rainfall definitely had an impact, XSEED openly said that they localized TLS because of fan demand.

At any rate, good news for you NA Wii owners. Pandora's Tower is a very good game. It may not get the hype that the other two got, but it's worthy to stand alongside them, thanks to its hauntingly Gothic atmosphere & story and its excellent use of motion controls.

Hopefully, like Xenoblade and TLS, it sells better than it did in Europe.

and WiiU owners, I guess a good amount of the sales are going to be first wiiU owners/mostly nintendo fans.

I am going to pick this up for the sake of how rare this game is going to be. The two other Project Rainfall had limited prints (esp Xenoblade) and are sure to be collector's edition for years to come. My only gripe was I only picked up one of each game; and I am reluctant to open them because of it's rarity. Xenoblade, in particular is running for $70 used as Nintendo had stopped producing the discs. MosDef picking this up and definitely recommending it just for the collector's aspect of the game (it'll be limited since it is releasing during the Wii's last year). I am just sad that EarthSeeker never got released here; hopefully that one gets a release on Wii U eShop one of these days.

I'm not sure if I will be picking this up, and if I am not sure, I believe ALOT other ppl will be like me since I'm one of Nintendo's bigest suporter. I can't see how Pandora's tower could possibly attract anywhere near as much hype as the previous 2. I hope I'm wrong tho and If I buy this game, the main reason would be to support Xseed and not for the game itself.

I have the impression that almost nobody know the Wii U is backward compatible with Wii games and accessories.

I know it can, but alot of ppl don't want to go back to Wii games. I've been playing WiiU games for 2months now, by the time Pandora's tower launch, I will be playing Rayman, MH, Lego City and HOPEFULLY Pikimin3. Not sure I'll have the motivation to go out to a store to spend money and over dozens of hours on what will feel like a super aged game.
